Game Crashing after a few minutes of playing

Hey, the game of my Wife is always crashing a few minutes after she logs in.
the last crash gave an error message, so we made a screenshot of that.

this is the only error message we got, which is also in the other screenshot.
the game crashed seemingly random, after a few minutes of playing. we were just running around gridania trying to do the winter event.

The error in your screenshot happens when DirectX 11 crashes. Could you provide a system report and what have you tried to resolve the issue?

We havent really tried anything. Anything special apart from updating a few drivers and restarting the PC. I dont really know how to access a system report

I apologize for the delay in response to this issue. The error you are describing occurs when Direct X crashes. Please try the following:

-Try switching to DirectX 9 by selecting the ‘Config’ button on the launcher
-Perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything
-Set compatibility mode to Windows 7*
-Make sure that any anti-virus software they have has the appropriate exceptions


*To change compatibility mode, right click on the exe file (Default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\SquareEnix\Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn\boot\ffxivboot.exe), right click it and select ‘Properties.’ Select the ‘Compatibility’ tab and select Windows 7.

in the config we can either turn directX off completly or not. i dont see an option for switching to directX 9
if I turn off that DirectX 11 setting weird graphic glitches appear ingame.
