Black Screen on Launch

This has been happening for a while now and I've tried a number of things to get the game working with no progress. (Including .cfg changes, system setting resets, dx changing, fiddling with Internet Explorer settings.)

The launcher works fine, however on clicking play, the game opens but sits on a black screen forever. When I go to close the game, the "Exit Final Fantasy XIV?" prompt comes up, but nothing else.

System stuff

I was playing a few hour ago, everything was fine. I just wanted to play again now, started my pc, all fine, started FFXIV, launcher was ok like always but after the launcher everything went black, same problem as you, when I try to close the game the "do you really wanna close the game" window pops, but nothing there D:
Already tried everything I saw on inet to solve similar problems, but nothing works >.<

EDIT: I uninstalled the game and installed it again and now it's working fine.
