that's not really what our sub is paying for. SE will release content at w/e interval they want regardless of our subs. Our subs are only paying for ACCESS to FFxiv's servers, we don't "own" FFxiv like we do a standalone game (and most companies will fight that you still dont own a game even though you bought it).

IDK with this patch I like the later release.

I cannot image what to do if everything was in just 1 patch.

Do you do MSQ first, or the 24 man, or the 4 lords, or Eureka.

Honestly if it all came out at once I would do MSQ up till after completing the dungeon, then the 24 man up until completing the raid, and then immediately jump into Hydatos and not even touch blue mage until I am done with my Eureka weapon and perhaps work on the new EX trial.

Having too much to do in a game is a good problem to have. But having fresh new content release in waves before the next expansion IMO is better than getting it all at once and then having people complain for 4 months because they blew through things in the first month.

Perfectly fine the way it is. Keep up the good work SE. Really happy Blue Mage is a week later gives me time to do the main story and other things before getting into it.

The devs aren't staggering BLU because of some ulterior financial motive. They're saving you from yourself.

(But really, the real reason is probably related to BLU having a much higher chance of having something so bugged out the arse that they'd rather do emergency patches for BLU week 2 instead of ticking off everyone who doesn't care about BLU at all and trying to do other content during week 1. Man, all is good in the hood. But do you know, the game pays for itself with all our subscriber fees? Man, I do not complain because this game is literature and a Bible. Man, as much as I am Mexian I am straight up Native American, Italian, and Spanish. Well all I know is Elizebeth Warren and Hillary Clinton must be running around here. Who watches MSNBC? I as a Dragon, Elf and Human in the FF14 universe don't. Well, I'm looking forward to all the PAID CONTENT I pay, freakin' love this game like most of us do. They just can't appeal to the non-consumer, that is an Economic term. All I know is the wrong side hate Viera and Blue Mage which are straight up gangster. Play boy and play girls unite with the Viera, man. Man, I love this game. So much controversy about a patch, well wait till you get a load of Shadowbringer.

So first of all i actually find it >disgusting< that you are implying ALL the players want it the way you want it in your main post. Only TL;DR'd a bit through the rest of the thread. In general, people are right. It's not the greatest thing but there is nothing bad with staggering content a bit. Ok, Eurekas endless delays made it become a complete piece of dirt and Pagos was just "oof"(but they already admitted that they never expected so many people to do eureka and that they had not enough time to adjust Pagos in the beginning), but i still enjoy it as of now(i'ts just literally useless to actually use the weapons, except you get an insane good stat roll in Pyros).
Keep in mind pls that Final Fantasy always was and still is a heavy story-dependend game and at least for me it is absolutely understandable that they want players to enjoy the Story first.

APART FROM ALL THAT, you will STILL get Seiryu, 24 Man Raid, the new dungeon(ok, tied to MSQ but still), the 2 new things for Gold Saucer and the new custom delivery plus tons of quality of live updates RIGHT WHEN 4.5 DROPS. There is literally >no< other game on the market right now that get's updated so frequently and with so much content as FFXIV does.

To summarize/TL;DR: Staggering content is fine, as long as it doesn't go too far(hello eureka). FFXIV is one of the most frequently updated MMOs out there and the sheer amount of content is insane as it is. Crybabies gonna cry, fangrils gonna fangirl. But you gotta face it how it is.
