But of course there are technical things that need to be considered. Should NIN weapons become individual daggers, of which you equip one in each hand and glamour individually? This in itself doesn't sound like it should be too much trouble--average the weapon damage and split the substats.

What about loot? There'd be two daggers each time the chest rolled NIN, and if there's another NIN in the party, you might only get one of the two weapons. Shouldn't be a common occurrence, and certainly not in partyfinder, but it could happen occasionally in matched runs.

What of upgrading tomestones weapons? To keep it down to a single dip token, you'd have to buy both tomestone daggers, whether you want both or not.

Blue weapons (uniques) will have to be paired; at the very least, a "left" and a "right" version of the same item, if not two altogether different items. This means more data for the game to handle and more weapon design time.

Or should we keep the current weapons in their single-slot paired forms, but futz with the glamour system to allow two separate glamours? This would probably be the more complicated implementation, but could avoid the above problems.
