snowboy/girl silent story in Ul' dah

Has anyone sussed out this years story? I saw them when I went to the weaver's guild, but didn't investigate further.

I'm not super certain where it starts (there's a snowflake under the snowgirl by the miner's guild aetheryte) but for the snowboy at least he starts kinda near the Calamity Salvager and moves to the Jeweler, where he can be seen getting a gift from a pile with another snowman, and then he moves to the last spot under the tree next to the snowgirl.

As for the snowgirl, I never saw her without a gift. It seems like she just travels from one place to another via aetheryte (gladiator's to miner's?), checks out the guys hawking the next fight while waving flyers by the gladiator's guild, and then eventually heads off to the tree where they both end up.

Not much interesting in that story, really. I find some of the ones in Gridania pretty funny, though! A couple of them are trying to give presents to the NPCs hanging out around the archer's guild.

I just posted about this on reddit a moment ago. Took a bit of hunting and was longer than I initially thought.

It starts in two locations and kind of intertwines.

First: Ul'dah - Steps of Thal (12.8, 13.1) Near the calamity salvager.
Second: Ul'dah - Steps of Thal (11.8, 13.5) Right next to the Miners' Guild aetheryte.

The starting locations seem to have the snowflake under them.

There's not much to the story as AmemeAmeklin said. Basically they're both setting out to meet each other at a designated location and are constantly JUST missing each other. Finally they reach their destination, eagerly awaiting the other and not realising they're both already there.

That's what I took from it at least.

The snowgirl seems to get easily distracted or just enjoys taking her time to check out the sights on the way, whereas the snowboy appears to go directly to get a gift and then head to the meeting spot. They cross paths on the way without noticing each other.

btw, the author of that blog is the main character in the JP drama Father of Light (光のお父さん). Last month he suddenly was hospitalized and diagnosed with intestinal cancer. His surgery went well, and he is back to blogging about his hobbies, FFXIV included.
