Few questions regarding CT raids

Recently got an alt through this series of raids again and a few points had me wondering are we having history repeating itself with the lead up to shadowbringers? G'raha Tia states there were warriors that incited rebellion due to Xande's actions and said warriors were "not unlike the Warrior of Light in our time" and that they pushed Xande to do a reckless action which lead to the 4th calamity.
Could we through our actions be pushing Varis to do a similar disastrous decision (with ascien help ofc)?
Also where is the World of Darkness? is it where the 13th shard was? if it is then we can travel cross shards for a limited time without losing our bodies or do we hold the ex 13th shard as a separate entity?

The scene most referring to is World of Darkness either scene 1 or scene 2 i'll edit once finish quest and get to an unending journey.

That's one of the ways it could go, though Elidibus has such an active role right now that one must wonder if Varis will even have the time to be the one at fault, lol.

The world of darkness is the void aka the Thirteenth, yes.

Between the Source and another dimension is usually an (as far as we know) impenetrable membrane that has only been traversed by dying and going through Crystals. It takes a Calamity-level event to break down the barrier, at which point the "reflected shard" is deleted and all its aether returned to the Source.

However, all of the Thirteenth's aether was washed away by a Flood of Darkness and the membrane between our worlds isn't anything like it used to be. The void is now a dimension-sized emptiness filled with unliving, undying essences. Now the membrane between our worlds - always in a little bit of flux - even overlaps and opens small holes naturally. It takes quite a bit of energy to break through to allow anything large or powerful, but it can be done. (See the Void Ark.)

Xande was using the Crystal Tower and Dalamud to keep a voidgate open, and feeding it things in accordance with the covenant (mostly clones and bioweapons).
