Single use glamour items on mog station?

So, I was about to buy the starlight robe from mog station. I haven't purchased any glamours from there before. On the item page it says "This item will be distributed to a single character on the selected account." Okay that's fine, thanks to the class system I don't feel the need to play more than one character anyway. However when I went to the shopping cart a new restriction appeared: "This item is limited to one use for a single character." What does this mean? Can I only apply the glamour to one item and then it's gone? I was hoping I would be able to apply it to all of my gear for the duration of the starlight celebration, then revert back to my standard glamours and use it again the next year. Or perhaps the "one use" limitation means that the purchased item comes in a wrapper that can only be used once but the resulting item after unwrapping is permanent? Can someone confirm what is the case?

Purchased sets do usually come as a boxed set that you "use" to receive the individual items... but the coat is a single item to begin with. Unless it was something special at the time and came like a "wrapped gift"?

I can't see any way that gear would actually be single-use!

That is just worded badly. The robe will not disappear after you glamour it onto something. Just make sure you don't drop it as SE can be rather stengy when it comes to replacing lost items

It should just send them over as separate items, and then they function just like any other gear that needs level 1 with no stats.

Thanks, I should be safe purchasing it then. I always take good care of my items and check if reacquisition is possible before selling or discarding an item I might be interested in later.

yeah that basically means if you destroy or sell the item you cant just request another copy, cuts down on people abusing it to buy like a housing item and then download it 3 or 4 times to furnish their house
