Change to the ban system.

Hello, I've been reported in the past to the point of the next one being an account deletion and thous I feel like I'm unable to even use my main account anymore. This is my second account that I'm working on in the event I do slip up and lose everything. Each time I've been reported on my main account besides the first time ever have all been caused by someone else provoking me into the situation and it is not hard to make me upset and start to say things I don't mean. What I'm about to suggest would make it so that I won't feel as if I do slip up or someone takes something I say out of context, that I won't lose my main with almost 800 days of play time on. Well here is my idea for a new ban system. Currently the system is something like this. First time is a warning depending on what you're being reported for. Second time is a 24 hour ban, third time is a 48 hour ban while the forth is up to 1 week depending on what the report is and then after that, the last time is your account deleted for ever. What I'm suggesting is that you keep everything as is but change the deleted account into a 1 month long ban depending on what your being reported for. Things that would be a account deletion would include but not limited to, Hate speech, death threats, botting, hacking, RWTing. All of my bans have been made because I have extreme emotions so it is easy to set me off when someone is attacking my friends or another player who I'm siding with against the toxic player. My last report not long ago was because I told someone who was being toxic to a tank in o12s for not tanking the way this player expected. When we backed out and the tank left, I told this player to F off before leaving myself. This resulted me me being contacted by GMs and could of been the end of my account. It's not fair that I could lose my account all thanks to a lack of context. I understand my words said was not the right ones at the time but like I said, I'm really emotional and I end up speaking with out thinking most of the time so now I'm kinda forced off of my main in fear of for ever losing it due to my mental health. Please take a look at the banning times and rework it so that you will not lose your account unless it is a serious rule break like the ones I listed above. Here is another Idea that would give me some peace at mind. Have it so that after x amount of time without being reported you could take bans off your record. For example say I'm on my last warning but I've been good for a couple of months with no problems, my account would be reset back to as if I've not been reported before so that next time if I did get reported it would be a 1 day ban and not account deletion. I've learn to be nice and report people who are being toxic now but before I wasn't well informed on all of the rules that I broke. Please change something for people like me who got upset over someone saying/doing something to upset me and make me say things I should not of.

You can't control how people treat you online, and you can't always control your feelings. You can, however, control your own responses. Don't blame other people for your own actions.

Instead of asking for more lenient treatment why don't you work on reporting without retaliating? If people are being rude to you, you can report them knowing first-hand that the GMs will look into it.

How can you control something you have no control over? That's like asking a man with turrets syndrome to stop acting weird. It's mental heath and you have no way of controlling that. Addicts have impulses so why can't they stop? It wouldn't be called an impulse if you could just stop and control your actions.

Because I have a problem controlling my emotions and I make spontaneous actions with out thinking. You can't control it no matter how easy it may sound to just not say anything. It's like telling a addict to just stop taking and expect them to just stop cold turkey. I'm now at the point of having a 800 hour account deleted all because trolls got the best of me. How is this fair at all? All I'm asking for is an option to not just have my account I've played on for years and is the pillar keeping me happy in life during a dark time in my life to not be deleted over telling someone off for being toxic to my friends or others around me. But yeah, I figured the only people to comment on here are the ones to tell me to get over myself. No one understands context matters and every report besides the first one has been brought on due to the actions the other has made before what I said. How is it even fair to put me in the same boat as hackers, resist, sexist and botters? There should be levels of punishment. You don't give a shop lifter life without parole.

It's a fair system because everyone agrees to the rules when they sign up to play the game. You agreed to the Terms of Service so you have to abide by them just like everyone else. Again, you're not special.

EDIT: Also, if you're on your last strike, that usually means you're a repeat offender for saying some truly vile stuff, so you'll have to forgive people for not feeling much sympathy for your case.

Yes, I've been reporting people as they become toxic and say stuff that is report worthy but you need to understand that now I have to walk on egg shells for the rest of my life because of this fear of losing my account. Any rule I break and it's over. I could be joking around with someone who I thought was a friend and they report me for saying something meant as a joke. I'm unable to enjoy the game anymore due to this heavy weight held over my head for the rest of time. Even if I did nothing wrong for 4 years, and one day I slip up and tell someone off again, it's a wrap and all these years and thousands of dollars later, it's all gone over something so small. Others get the same treatment as I do for way worse. The rules should change for telling people off like that. You shouldn't put me in the same pile as hackers, bots, racist people. 1 month long ban each time after in place of the account deletion is a heavy punishment still. 1 month of missing out on weekly and dailys is a crushing loss and something no one will want to have to go through. You can keep the account deletion for those who are way worse like the hackers, bots, and racist people.

We don't even know if you're actually telling the truth about what you've done, going by how these types of threads usually go, I'm not inclined to believe your side of the story.
