When did this first start happening? Do you recall anything updating/changing on your PC that coincides with this?

Does this same error occur when using DirectX 9 mode?

You may also want to try a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. Additionally, disable any overlays that may be present (Discord Overlay, Geforce Experience, etc.). This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.

Try setting the compatibility mode to Windows 7 (right click on the ffxivboot.exe file and select ‘Properties.’ Then select the ‘Compatibility’ tab and choose Windows 7)
