If someone has the time and energy to play, they should be able to play without being gated at 450 tomes/week, or 1 item per week in raids, weekly crafting turn in caps, etc.
They shouldnt be restricted because someone ELSE doesnt necessarily have a similar amount of time to play.

This actually has driven me from the game a lot. With the exception of Eureka for the moment, I rarely play unless its Tuesday and caps are reset. Don't get me wrong I WANT TO PLAY, but I am forced not to because not all content is relevant to me and/or Im capped on the content I do find appealing...
I'd love to gear up and play MORE jobs than the 3 I do, but honestly keeping those 3 geared with the caps in place is hard enough. (again Eureka being general exception to the rule for the moment...) Can I have more Eureka-like content where progression is uncapped??
I can see this early on, like the first week or two of a new tier. That said, it also creates a bit of an artificial delay for people who aren't logging on every week that could easily be eliminated similar to how leves work (i.e. maybe do a cap of 450/week that builds up to 4500 or whatever you can have banked to earn, etc.).

I'd be totally cool with having "banked" per week stuff, but I'd still prefer less locked content. Or make dungeon gear a bit higher ilvl so its more relevant. For example if raid gear is i400, make crafted gear/eureka/24man raid content i390 and dungeon gear should be i380 (i370 at the very minimum).

Anyways my brain is a fog. I'm pretty sure what Im trying to get across is getting lost in translation between my brain, my screaming kiddo in the background and my forum posts.

In all fairness, I think they kinda do. I mean, the current raid on normal drops 380 and requires 355....which drop in dungeons that require 340. That step-up isn't so bad, IMO. (Granted, I'm not talking about savage raids at that point, but it makes sense to work up to those if that's the content you're interested in doing.)

The dungeon gear is still far too low item level. It should be i370minimum, so you can actually be decently geared for content like EX primals and Alliance raids. Then upgrade from there again. It really feels off and makes dungeons seem absolutely pointless beyond doing them for the duty roullette bonus tomes.

They do this so the content last. If they removed this then people (possible ones like you) would clear and max out all the content in 2-4 weeks leaving 1-2 months with nothing to do. Those people would then complain about the lack of content.

The predictability has never been my problem with the game, but over SB, it felt like at patch they were spreading stuff very thinly over mini patches. I never felt that way during HW or ARR~

I don't mind the patch cycle, at all. I do wish that we were getting more, and that they were not splitting the team to do a lot of different things and masking it as if we're getting more stuff though. The more new things we get, it just means they're cutting content else where. But I will say, the quality of stuff has gone up, so I don't feel that the increased budget has been wasted or anything. I just miss getting more dungeons I guess.

Really excited for BLU and seeing how it shakes up the formula.

This is my issue as well. I don't know if I've just never noticed it in HW or what but it's really frustrating how SE teases a patch and everything that will be released within said patch only to break it up and release bits and pieces of it throughout the next couple months. For example how Eureka was announced for 4.2 but didn't come out until 4.25. (Two patches/Two Months later)

It gets really bad when they release repeatable content that is supposed to hold us over for 2-3 months like the MH crossover, HoH or Eureka and nothing else.

At the same time...I'm not really sure how to remedy this. Is it the content predictabilty that is annoying or is the content itself stale?

They made it this way. Its great. Every year they add something new or a variation to a mode or system that already exists.

Some people hate it, but you cant hate the fact that it makes the game so popular.

I like how this game is regularly patched. Though, I think it could use a bit more variety. I enjoy it for what it is though. Best mmorpg currently on the market. Happy to pay the sub again.
