My issue with Pyros (and Pagos to a slight extent)

So I've been spending most of my gaming time in Eureka, particularly Pyros right now, and there's been a particular issue that has been bugging me since I first entered Pagos - it does not seem friendly half of the time unless you go in with a group of some kind. Now please bear in mind that these are just my own personal experiences and more than likely, everybody else will have different experiences.

That being said, it is a pain to get a party formed - or to get an invite into a party. Usually it's for a multitude of reasons. Being behind the curve after breaking for about a month, I was trudging through Pagos while everybody was still in the middle of figuring out Pyros. That's how far behind I was.

My issue is how difficult it can be to progress anywhere meaningful outside of being within 5 levels of the area's level cap. Er, rather, how difficult it is to really do anything when solo venturing. And I am not sure if there is a way to counter that. I get it and understand - when you're max level, you don't necessarily want to carry any low leveled players through the content when you are light/logo farming. But I'm noticing this when an nm spawns and the shout gets lit up with calls for nm invites.

I've been in several instances where I've asked in shout for an nm invite multiple times both before and during the fight, and there have been instances where I've been kicked out of a party as soon as I join. Those that respond to my inquiries say that I'm too low leveled and I should go farm bunnies instead.

I dunno if I am alone in having these types of experiences, and to be honest, I dunno what to do except just suck it up and keep soloing. Unless there are some other suggestions others may have. I can deal with the grind with a good party - usually my issues go away when in a party, because we can all socialize and have a similar goal. It's the 'spending-the-first-hour-looking-for-a-group' that's causing my dislike of everything after Anemos. Anybody else experience this?

I don't know if people will straight up kick you or not invite you if you look for a party for fates. For specific prefarm parties i can understand if they don't want to have you in there if you are too low levelwhise on the other hand...most people are just standing around doing nothing anyway.

A solution would be if you know one person who is willing to carry you around in there until your level is high enough, but thats a thing only friends would really do.

Personally for both Pagos and Pyros I just did solo Challenge Logs until I was high enough to attune to all the aetherytes and only bothered going to NMs I was high enough to get to safely.
This of course meant my progress was limited each week but Eureka is something I only like in small doses anyways.

I've been spending time in both Pagos and Pyros myself, and I've never had issues getting into groups for NMs before I hit elevel 35/50 (and I just started back in Eureka about 2 or 3 weeks ago, so way late to the party). A single shout was all I had to do when one would pop to get a group, regardless of elvl - people tend to just blindly invite in there; I even got rides from a few strangers to ones that I couldn't reach easily. So I'm not sure where or why you're experiencing this. In Pyros, a lot of the NM groups I end up in never seemed to care if I ran off to do bunnies after the NM was dead. They just went back to AFKing and waiting for the next one. Prep groups are a different story, but I wouldn't be doing bunnies in a prep group anyways.

For things like light farms, high-level NM preps, and coldbox/heatbox farming, yeah, players may want you to be closer to cap for each instance, but I've also been in several high-level NM preps with elevel 32/33 and 48/49 players. Coldbox/heatbox they're usually all 35/50, but occasionally I see a 34/49 person.

I want to say that it's due to times, but I am usually in there in the mornings and the evenings during early peak hours, and instances typically range from sitting at 80 to 130 players. Entered Pagos at 26 and Pyros at 40. Currently 45 right now, but only reached that level last night. I have noticed that I can get more progress if I can get into a group during nm spawns (that's usually when I successfully find parties) because I'm more than happy to go along with the goal of the party (don't like to AFK myself). I'll see what happens tonight - maybe being 45 will help?

Beeing 40 or 45 shouldn't be an issue at all for NM. Challenge log maybe, but you can always go into anemos and do it solo.

IDK. I struggled through Pagos, but never had problems getting groups. Like you by the time I entered pyros everyone had already sorted out the kinks. I was lvl37 upon entering and didnt have a problem joining groups, however this is on Primal where casuals look out for eachother.

While the content itself is not good. The players have been very helpful in all 3 zones and that has made it bearable for me.

I am sorry you experienced such poor quality players in those instances.

Eh...well, I wouldn't say poor quality. I got more frustrated with not being able to stay with the curve, as opposed to just not being able to get into a party. A good portion of my problems ended in Pagos when I got to levels 32-35 because I was actually able to do things. Didn't get a chance to today because I slept too long (real life stress is wearing me down lol), but maybe these worries will fade when I go in tomorrow. Challenge log isn't really a concern for me, though, due to the sheer amount of XP that the northern NMs will give in Pyros if they were prepped.

Despite being in the same boat as you (I started Pagos about 2 weeks after Pyros was released), my experience has been quite different. Pagos was a fairly smooth ride aside from the grind itself. Finding groups can be tough sometimes, so if you are having trouble finding a group it's easier to just form your own. I seem to be doing that less and less lately though as it seems like more people are funneling into Pyros. So no, you didn't miss out. It's meant to be group content I think despite what was initially said about Eureka. It's definitely not solo friendly for the most part.

It's rough getting around below level 50 though. I was eating the floor more times than I'd care to admit trying to get to NMs, let alone the deaths that happened during the encounters. I was never kicked from a group myself even at lvl 38 which was when I entered Pyros so I'm not entirely sure why people are kicking you. If you don't make it to an NM, you don't make it. People generally don't care one way or another, but sometimes you may be offered a ride. Missing an NM or 2 happens...thankfully less and less as your level increases.

I might have to try that starting a group thing...I usually try to avoid anything that involves leading anything haha. But if it works, it works.
