    Stone sky and sea question

    Does anybody know what the status is of the calculator for the Alphascape fights? The calculator only goes up to v8s, so I can't really get an accurate assessment aside from pass/fail when practicing.

    No idea, but there was a post on reddit for the dps values of each class on current content if that helps at all.

    Hmm... Not quite. It's useful for sure, but I can't utilize it myself

    Technically, since the calculator is based off time taken, you can get an assessment regardless of your entry choice. As far as I know, all level 70 SSS's have the same defence, it's just HP differences.

    I'm more or less wanting to figure out where my dps stands when I do this. The Balance gave me some pointers a while ago, but unfortunately, I don't really have someone who can tell me what I'm doing after clearing a dummy. Unless there's a reliable way to calculate from the time left manually using these values.

    SSS is more for mastering your rotation rather than seeing what your dps is like, a 3 minute encounter has too many variables.

    You can notice mistakes in your rotation for sure if others can clear and you cant(provided you and them dont have any buffs and have similar gear), but it shouldnt be used as a representation of your dps.

    That being said, you can get a friend to parse for you while you hit the dummy, but make sure they are not a class that provides a dps buff while in your party otherwise you'll get skewed results.

    Oh I more or less use the dummy to practice and see the results of the information given to me from the Balance. NIN is actually good for me because my rotation generally follows a 60 sec rotation - I just want to be able to actually see results, know what I mean? I'm good on DPS right now, just would like to optimize and set some things in memory. I don't necessarily have anyone that could parse me when I need practice runs, hence my reliance on the SSS.

    edit: Don't get me wrong, though, I'm not asking for how to improve, per se. I'm in a general optimization phase right now. I really was just looking for a particular answer on what the deal was with the SSS site and the missing Alphascape data. That's all.

    You can calculate it yourself using the time it takes you to clear the dummy and the dummy HP values from the Reddit link.
    DPS=Damage done/Time (seconds)

    Looking at the O9S Ninja dummy for example:
    5626.40=1012752 HP/180 seconds. 180 being taking the full 3 minutes exactly. So you just sub in the number of seconds you took (180-time remaining) to find your dps.

    For example if you killed it with 30 seconds remaining:
    DPS= 1012752/150 seconds=6751.68

    If you aren't killing the dummy you'll need to calculate how much health you depleted to find your damage done.
    For example if the dummy ended at 5% health that means we did 95% of its health in damage over 3 minutes:

    0.95x1012752=962114.4 damage done
    962114.4/180 seconds =5345.08 dps

    Ahhh that is perfect. Just did some testing with O8S and the calculations matched up with what the website had said. Thank you for this.
