Hello, I first want to start of by saying that I love the devs and the work they put in to the game, and want to see the game flourish and thrive for years to come. I'd also like to mention that I understand the way they had designed MCH and how it sounded like it would have overall good ability synergy (Especially from 4.0, I honestly preferred some of the design from 4.0 before the changes, but appreciate some of the QoL MCH received as well).
That being said, it's widely agreed upon that MCH has become a job that is less fondly looked upon, and feels somewhat held down by how some of the abilities interact with each other. I've heard many people say things like "I wish I didn't have to push 30 buttons in 10 seconds to be able to do damage" or "I wish the turrets were more interactive, rather than just set and forget".
Now obviously, 30 buttons in 10 seconds is an exaggeration, but the way Wildfire works with the other abilities of MCH, it's not that far off. Currently, under Wildfire, you press 13-14 abilities, which is a lot of buttons in 10 seconds. Players with higher ping will just never touch the job because of this, as they'll constantly lose out on damage that is possible, but restricted from their input lag.
Taking all of that into account, I've come up with a redesign of MCH ability progression, as well as some changes to existing abilities, that will not only make the class feel better to play as a whole, from leveling to endgame, but also make it more accessible to players of all latency. I hope this isn't taken as me trying to say that MCH is terrible and the design is terrible. I don't think that at all, and currently enjoy MCH a lot, but I also can see where some things can be changed to make the job feel like a much more polished and amazing role to play.
I spent the past 3 hours typing this up, so I hope you enjoy. Please let me know your thoughts, and if any devs do end up taking a look at this, I hope these suggestions help with what your designs for 5.0 are.
Thanks for reading!
