Weird Alt-tab issues

I am currently playing on a decent laptop without a good video card so I am forced to play at resolution 1024x768. Everything was going pretty decent until I decided to switch input language (Windows key + Space -> Alt + `) to switch between English and Japanese, and between Romaji and Hiragana/Katakana. However, once I switched to Hiragana/Katakana, whenever I try to click on the middle of the screen, I got alt-tab out of the game in spite of the screen still showing the game. Clicking at the game again will return me to it through a 3 second black screen. It doesn't happen again when I turn back to English input, but only Japanese input.

What should I do in this situation?

Can you elaborate one what you mean by "I got alt-tab out of the game in spite of the screen still showing the game"? Do you mean the game is no longer selected? Are you running this windowed or fullscreen?

Additionally, can you submit a Final Fantasy XIV system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'
