    Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    I'm assuming since this a brand new PC, meaning you had a fresh install of Windows, correct? After a fresh install of Windows 10, there may be some 'Optional' or 'Recommended' updates that aren't installed automatically. Check for those updates and install any that aren't already. Many of those aren't necessary for Windows to work, but may be necessary to run Final Fantasy XIV.

    The settings you asked about (HDR, free sync, etc.) shouldn't be an issue. The error you have is usually a software/driver crash.

    I have reinstalled FFXIV several times, sourced from both steam and the official website. Still getting the error. All of the drivers that I can think of have been updated, along with the ones that you said. I just cannot see an end to this
