You're living in 2030 and the rest of us are in 2018, I appreciate this

Considering the guaranteed rise in fantasia sales, if I was SE I would be all over this request. This is something they could easily do. A combat preview that has your character auto attacking and using limited weaponskills on a dummy that allows you listen to how they sound in battle. They could also have an option for your character to play dead so you can listen to this as well.
Because I played healer for such a long time before trying anything else, I had no idea how my character even sounded when in engaged in melee combat since healers don't have any melee skills. I got lucky here. But as BRD flinging arrows, if I could have previewed this, I very likely would have chosen another voice.
This would be very helpful! I had to use a fantasia just because of this.![]()
However there are a couple YouTube videos that demonstrate a couple of them.
Fantasia should have a 24 hour grace period before they become final. The idea of having to go back and tweek your character because of items you're not happy with and then being forced to buy another to make those changes isn't very fair. I would think something like that would be easy enough to implement.

This would have saved me a few fantasia just to change voices in the past.
Yes, PLEASE. If I have to stand next to another high pitch female lala archer doing heavy shot I'm going to pull my hair out. I move away from you for a reason, stop following me!
This would have been nice. I remember buying a fantasia for April Fools day to play a femroe from a Miqo'te. Didn't change the voice; only changed the race but left selected features the same (IE: if I picked jawline 2 on the Miqo'te, then it was jawline 2 for the roe). What was fine on my miqo'te turned out to be annoying and grating on a roe, for some reason. Apparently, a roe with that voice option grunted and "HA!" more on DRG than the same selections as a miqo'te. I didn't even last a day before fantasia-ing back.
I completely agree with this. I can't see them doing a 24 hour grace period though...maybe 1 hour grace period. Either way, this would help trmendously. Having to spend another $10 because you chose a bad voice or thought your skin tone looked better because of the lighting really sucks.Fantasia should have a 24 hour grace period before they become final. Perhaps a good idea would be to have a testing room in character creation.
Basically, you can load your created character in here and play them for a bit. It could have several rooms in an outdoor setting, with night time lighting, bright day time, sunset, ect, so you could see how your characters skin tones and such actually look while playing. Each room could have a training dummy, while your action bar would have generic attack actions to experience combat sounds.
When you're done, you simply exit and are returned to character creation to refine further.
I believe I have voice type 4 (it's been a few years), and while my friends won't stand next to me when I'm on certain jobs my /laugh is delightfully maniacal.
