I wonder if we could ever get digital releases for the Eorzean Encyclopedias, it is complicated to get the hands on the product ouside of its published countries, I've seen many complaints of people trying to import the book from Canada or other regions. Would having a digital release of it be ever possible?

Encyclopaedia Eorzea: Tomestone Edition. I like it! It would certainly be nice to have the lore books in a more accessible form. Meanwhile the physical versions could still be sold for collectibility's sake.

Well then Encyclopaedia 1 is already available fully scanned in a pdf file. Yes the quality isn't that great but you can read all content.

I think it's just a matter of time for 2 get that. IMO squeenix would benefit a lot releasing a digital version at some point.

Funny story. I had that PDF file... and then got really tired of having to navigate as a PDF file and went and bought the book. I don't think I've touched the PDF file since.

I'm sure that any version of the encyclopedia that offers an in-game item code would be more sought-after than any other, pirated or not. But an official digital version would give players who can't easily get their hands on the physical version an option other than pirating.

Besides, when it com to narratives, there is nothing quite like a well written hard-cover book.

i'm sorry, but i can't, in good faith, justify spending $50 on a book. books get worn, books get damaged, and at about $50 i'd be too afraid to touch the darn thing, let alone read it, for fear of damaging it. i'd rather have a digital copy, something that won't smudge, rip, or otherwise be damaged because i dare not to keep it in a sealed container at all times.

I can justify that much on a book, I can't justify more than the book's price for the shipping.
