Are you aware you can initiate auto run by clicking the middle mouse button and dragging forward?I'd be happy if I could use the back button on my mouse to auto run instead of holding a direction and pressing R.
Maybe I'm being dense but I've been unable to map any controls to my mouse buttons, obviously OP is using macro software which presumably is mimicking keyboard input but I was wandering if anyone has anything mapped to their mouse buttons (bar clicking on stuff - preempting first sarcastic responses).
so no dev has closed this and banned the guy yet...

Hi Anas86,Guys, I just bought a Razer Naga mouse. Since this is my first gaming mouse, I just play around with the macro recording stuffs. And I am suprised that I can now click only 1 button to move automatically from Uldah to Camp Drybone. All the camera rotation, walking and everything was recorded in the macro. Is this illegal?
I would appreciate if you can quote something from the term of service or user agreement. I simply skipped that part (most of us do I think hehe)
Thank you!
The macro feature of that mouse or the software that came with it is not allowed by SE, even with attended gameplay, can be considered "absent play". If you continue to use it, you will do be doing so at your own risk.
(The mouse itself is not prohibited, but taking advantage of those features are).

Found an explanation regarding this topic with a French-English translation provided by Matsume (Thank you Matsume!)

GM in training?Hi Anas86,
The macro feature of that mouse or the software that came with it is not allowed by SE, even with attended gameplay, can be considered "absent play". If you continue to use it, you will do be doing so at your own risk.

OP, enjoy your mouse. Don't let these moralfa--uhhh, super jelly two button mouse players scare you.
Naga 4 lyfe!

I don't see how her telling someone that the macro may get them banned is being a "moralfag" or wannabe GM. I perceived it as advice: That he should stop using it in case SE interprets it as a bot and bans him.
Please note the subtle difference: She was saying he MIGHT get banned. She was NOT saying that he SHOULD be banned.

Hi Treach,
I apologize if that was misinterpreted as a threat or with a condescending tone.
It was meant more as a "please be safe, would like to advise on the side of caution" since we have a SE representative clarifying the subject more.

I'd love to be able to switch bar pages with the buttons on the side of my mouse, but unfortunately SE hasn't given us the ability to do so yet.Maybe I'm being dense but I've been unable to map any controls to my mouse buttons, obviously OP is using macro software which presumably is mimicking keyboard input but I was wandering if anyone has anything mapped to their mouse buttons (bar clicking on stuff - preempting first sarcastic responses).
You can also drag it other directions to start running that way.

I find it an increasing irritation when companies don't allow you to map things to the mouse, the majority of aftermarket mice and ALL decent quality ones are now 5 button or more so why deny people the ability to use those functions. If I can map 'switch to lightsaber' to my mouse buttons in 'Jedi Knight 2 Jedi Outcast' then why the hell can't I do it in a game that came out over 10 years later? Hell when jedi outcast came out 3 button mice were something of a novelty.
