2.0 lack of new classes or new people in the 'veteran' servers possible problem?

I was thinking about the day we start playing the 2.0 version, and about playing the new low and mid level content through max level, what will happen with people that have all disciples of war and magic maxed? (i think there are many people with all battle jobs at 50 right now, and If not, there is still time before 2.0 is out) they would need a new job to start and enjoy this content...

If SE thinks to add some new jobs for 2.0 launch its ok, but what if not? and if they add like only 1 new job? you would use the search ui and the majority of the pople in a veteran server would be this job, and you would have to form a party full of mages, or full DoW class whatever this new job would be O_o

personally I want to enjoy the 2.0 new content through max level but I only have 3 DoW jobs left to get maxed and I plan to do it before 2.0, and i dont know if there will be new jobs at launch so i can enjoy that new content when 2.0 is out :/

ps. sorry my english may have some mistakes I hope its enough to understand what I want to say

My understanding is there will be level capped stuff + level sync when 2.0 comes out. Not to mention either soon before or right when 2.0 comes out there's a chance that we will be getting 1-3 new classes: a new mage, a pet class, and/or a thief/scout class.

They'll add new classes and etc in due time, remember that 2.0 = relaunch, so it's not necessarily just being done for current players but for new players mostly so while there's a chance some content and etc won't be doable for people who stick around toll 2.0, it's mostly designed to attract and keep new players.

I know if I was a new player coming in for the first time, I would definitely choose the new servers over the existing ones. There's a big appeal to being a part of the beginning of a server. It's the same reason why most of us all wanted to start FFXIV at launch, even though it sucked.

I think the only reason I would join an existing server, is if I had a friend that I wanted to play with that was on that server.

I can see those new servers filling up very quickly. In fact I'd even bet existing servers will take a hit to populations at that time.

to the people bringing up level caps and level sync on content. that will not help the issue.

if you are all 50's why would you want to go into toto-rak anyways? you are already rank 50 so there is absolutely nothing there you could want. level sync will not make old content any more viable.

On any MMORPG getting to the max lvl is the first thing you want to do. After that what is left is to do the end-game content. The problem with this game is that right now, is almost no end-game content to do. So the question here should be if SE will add more end-game content on 2.0.

Not quite true. Starting in 1.21 Grand Companies will pay a bounty in seals for the U/U drops from dungeons and NMs. Running Toto-Rak as a party using level sync would provide another alternative to caravans and whatever else they've added by then for farming seals.

That's the thing, it would be an alternative but that's not exactly the point and why level sync shouldn't be used to try to "revitalize" old content. It's being designed for newer and still in progress players, not people who are already beyond capped out (they're thinking ahead.)

Even then people seem to forget about the 2 new raids which will no doubt have seal rewards and gear that can also be traded in.
