    Retool "Blood of the Dragon" so eyes are not tied to the timer and remain until used

    Currently, any gained Dragon Eyes gained from using Mirage Dive under Blood of the Dragon will be lost if the Blood of the Dragon effect wears off. This means if you have 3 eyes but Blood of the Dragon duration falls to 0, you lose the gathered eyes. To wit, almost every job has 1 unlimited duration job resource that never expires (Aetherflow, Kenki, Ninki, Ammunition, Blood Gauge, Oath Gauge, Chakras, Lillies, Managauge, Beast Gauge, etc). Both of Dragoon's job resources, Blood/Life of the Dragon are time-dependent and the eyes are tied to that. By allowing Dragoons to maintain their gathered eyes, like how a MNK never loses Chakras, it would be a HUGE quality of life boon, especially during phases of fights where bosses are untargetable.

    Agreed. Eyes would be a LOT less annoying if you didn't lose them every time mechanics force a BotD drop. No other job loses pooled resources when a maintenance buff wears off (except BLM and Foul, sort of.)

    Regardless, the whole purpose of BotD is learning how to maintain it thoughout an encounter. If you take away the maintenance aspect, it may as well become a trait as BotD no longer serves any purpose. It will basically become Darkside--an ability you press once and never press again.

    In most circumstances, you can maintain BotD without issue. Some clever ways around the time is to use a Sonic Thrust combo if you're concerned it won't last through four GCDs.

    Being able to retain eyes through long transition phases would be nice, since the other aspects of BoTD (Wheeling, Fang, 30% Jump and SSD boost, GSK, Nastrond) would be unaffected by said change.

    That's not the complaint here. BotD is fine as maintenance buffs go. The annoying part is how Eyes are directly linked to it. MNKs don't lose chakras every time GL drops, SAMs don't lose sen when Jinpu falls off, ninki isn't reset if you let Huton drop, ammo doesn't vanish when you overheat, etc. DRG eyes is the only mechanic that works like that. Why?
