Keyboard and Mouse problems

Hey.
I once had the problem last year that while playing ff14 my complete keyboard and mouse setup would be changed. For example, I press the w-key on the keyboard and the character window would open. I noticed that my keyboard would also not respond normaly outside of ff14 like the webbrowser. After restarting or turning off and on the laptop, it went away.
Today the same thing happened to me again and it won't go away this time. I restarted my laptop 3 times and restarting ff14 3 times, always with some other settings. I tried borderless window mode and window mode, I tried with directX11 support on and off. I don't have any controller plugged into my laptop. I don't have the discord overlay on and neither do I have teamviewer installed. Every time I opened ff14 today, after 5 mins or so, my keyboard and mouse would change and I can't even type outside of ff14 normaly.
If it helps, I am using an omen from hp and using the keyboard on the laptop. My mouse is a G600 from Logitech.
I hope someone can help me fixing my problem.

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with the keyboard. Could you provide a system report? In your post, you mention you have issues with the laptop keyboard outside of the game as well. With that in mind, the issue you are describing, maybe a hardware problem. Have you contacted HP?

What exactly do you mean by system report? Do you mean the system information from ff14 or from the laptop itself?
I went to their website and downloaded a program which does certain tests for the hardware to see if there are any problems. I ran some general tests and some just for the mouse and keyboard. There were no problems detected.

To submit a Final Fantasy XIV System Report Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

You mentioned this same issue appearing while not playing the game, correct? That makes it seem like there is an issue with the keyboard/laptop itself.

It only appears when playing the game, and as soon as it appears it affects other applications as well. I need to do a full restart of the laptop to get rid of it.

Please try resetting the keybindings. Have you tried using a different mouse or playing without one? If not, I would like you to try and use a different mouse. Also try updating the drivers and could you also provide what hard drivers are installed?

Hey.

I did what you told me. I haven't tried playing with a different mouse yet. The problem seems to have fixed itself again a few days ago. But since I had this last year and this year too, I want to know what causes the problem to either prevent happening again or when it happens to know what I should do.
As far as I know, I only have a driver for my logitech mouse installed and it is updated to the latest version.

Do you recall anything changing on your PC when the issue resolved itself? It sounds like some other program or overlay was conflicting the the game, resulting in the error you experienced. It's a bit difficult to diagnose it if you are no longer experiencing it, however. Please keep us updated if the issue returns.

Well I did do a reset system settings in the ffxiv launcher. But I don't know if something happened when I pressed the reset button as I didn't get any notification that something happened. I also downloaded then my ingame settings in anticipation that something would have changed. Although I opened the game after a full day since the reset. Since that day, it didn't happen yet.
I already read in some forums that certain programs like teamviewer or discord can give ff14 some issues. I still don't believe that even one of those programs are the culprit since I don't have the discord overlay on or even have teamviewer on my laptop installed.

Hey.

I wanted to tell you that the problem did happen again today. I did do a reset on the client again and it went away after some time for the keyboard, but not for the mouse input. I also copied the system log again right after it happened, just in case.
So at the moment, I am suspecting my mouse. Is it possible that the game may not be perfectly compatible with certain mice? The mouse I'm using is a Logitech G600. The drivers are up to date and I tried to change some settings but it still doesn't work properly. The mouse is already kinda old, at least 4 years.
