yes and SE learned that, when given a set of abilities when each one has a specific niche use, it's either all or nothing.
again, they tested it out, saw how it (didn't) work, and are attempting to use what they learned from that with BLU. BLU could be their foray into expanding that system to becoming an entire job's kit, and probably gonna base player feedback on whether or not it's something that'll stick to BLU specifically, or if the feedback/reception/information gathered therein would also be capable of using for other classes.
tin foil hat, off.
Oh sweet Nophica, yes please! We are already putting items in the air, just make it a feature already please Devs!
5.) Unlocking the Z-Axis on house.
Just let us go nuts with what we can do, when glitching achieves the same goals... The crazy housing options would rocket up. Like a house filled with a bunch of those creepy dolls and papers that form a nice circle wit ha single black mage underneath a candle in a dark room... Huh...
To sort of piggy back off of this, some jobs don’t even have combos, but a more priority system in terms of their rotation. Consolidated combo buttons wouldn’t work for jobs that don’t have existing combos—jobs like BRD, MCH, RDM, BLM, SMN, and the healers come to mind.Big dislike. We have combos with forks and different positional requirements. I find it very hard to keep track what part of the combo I'm at if it's all one button, learned this the hard way in PvP. I very much don't want to see this become mainstream. I prefer the forked combo design instead of having 3 separate combos to achieve the same thing. The whole combo system would need to be revamped and it wouldn't reduce button bloat, at least not without reducing complexity.

They tried that with role skills. Problem is, when 6 buttons are "mandatory" and you only get 5 slots, something has to give. This affected healers the most. Tanks just below them.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
About the only one I can think of that /could/ have one combo button out of all the healers would be SCH. But that's just for Bio 2, Miasma, Miasma 2, which would only reduce the bloat by a whopping two buttons. Which given the fact that SCH has some of the worst bloat of any class, let alone the healers, doesn't do much to help at all.To sort of piggy back off of this, some jobs don’t even have combos, but a more priority system in terms of their rotation. I have to echo the others on 1-button combos. That's just not going to work to reduce button bloat, plus ogcds are weaved between gcds; plus-plus, positionals for melees. A lot of openers would just be destroyed by this. I am hoping a lot of role skills go away come 5.0, or the bloat will be too much for controller users. They also really need to look into useless skills that collect dust. There is a lot of weeding they can currently do to help with button bloat without drastically effecting the game.
As for the topic. Wanna know what drives me batty? The fact that I have to accept or dismiss a potential new GC recruit before I can view any of the others. Why even have a postpone option at all?
Gear clipping. Why does it seem like we should be like a t least a decade past this issue?
More aesthetician options please. It's fine if I can't change my eye color, height, or other more permanent features to the models. But I think things like skin tone can be added without drastically reducing their fantasia sells. Also, why can't I flip hairstyles? If my hair drapes over my left shoulder, why can't I flip it to the right??
Anywho, I will think of more later.
Eh, IMO, Goblet has one of the best looking fences: Oasis Stone Wall.I'd love if they finished fully redesigning the Goblet outside the middle area, and then gave us items (not just placeables but also fences because the Goblet has by far the worst fences for residences in the game) that fit the theme. Or hell give us unique grass textures. The water bill must be enormous in the Goblet with all those verdant green lawns.
You'd think with the Goblet being tied to Ul'Dah, you'd see a lot more gold, gems and other things linked with prosperity. The Brimming Heart being remodeled to a hot spring is kind of nice (a hot spring in the desert? *thinking*), but it's still only the center. The Goblet is still surrounded by taller mountains of brown and running around the residential area, it's still mostly this yellow brick with incredibly infrequent vegetation. The concept art is nothing like what The Goblet actually came out to be.

There's SO much more greenery pictured - it actually looks like an oasis. Even the exterior, having the water flowing below, looks so much better than the fog with some sparse desert foliage peeking up here and there. Even the mountains can be more than just a flat brown; Arizona's Grand Canyon (and other, lesser known ones) can be quite gorgeous for just being rocks >_>.

... You know what will make it worse? If Ishgard really does get a housing district, and despite being icy and snowy, still manages to have a better scenery than the Goblet.
