Mist Silk for Crescent Moon Set (Glamour)

Mist Silk has increased in price on Gilgamesh, which is understandable to a point, because not many do the old maps anymore, and because of the rng involved in the Unhidden Leather Map drop and then the next rng involved with the drop of the Mist Silk itself. What I have noticed on the market board is that some of the pieces for sale from the Crescent Moon Set are not crafted. There is no crafter's name shown. Are retainers bringing pieces of this set back on quicks? Or is there some other alternate source I'm not aware of. Does anyone know? Thanks.

A lot of these older glamour pieces ended up in the loot pools for the hidden chests in PotD, so some people could be getting them from there and listing them for sale. I dont specifically remember getting any from that set, but i never ran a ton of PotD so me not having gotten something doesnt mean much.

Oh, thanks, Frizze, for your quick response. My friends on Gilgamesh are the K.A.M. Triplets and they want the Crescent Moon Set x 3 for a Christmas photo cover. They create a Christmas-themed one every year. Kamii had mentioned that some of the pieces on the market board had possibly come from the potd chests. I told her today we should've started farming the mist silk back in the summer at this rate. I am trying to help them get the mist silk so Kam can craft the sets. Unfortunately, none of us want to spend 6.3-7.2 million gil for 18 mist silk.

As mentioned it's coming either from PoTD or retainer quick ventures (I have been getting a lot of glam pieces from retainers lately).

Thanks, Elamys, for your response, too. I am a little bit encouraged with the retainer quick ventures. Yesterday, my botanist retainer brought back the Summer Sandals from a quick venture, of which you can only get through desynthing a certain fish and, of course, rng based. My alt male's miner retainer brought back the Spring Dress Shoes a few weeks ago from a quick. The drop rate for the Unhidden Leather Map doesn't seem too bad, but neither one of us has been lucky enough to get a Mist Silk. Kamii was estimating it might be as low as 10% drop rate. I wish Square would put it in the list of the Curious Crop exchange. It would certainly give everyone an excellent opportunity to get Mist Silk and craft their own Crescent Moon Set. The set itself including all four pieces (with the Cone hat) sells for 2 million gil on Gilgamesh. The K.A.M.s and I are sticklers for the details, when it's possible to obtain the mats ourselves. We make a mini-game out of it and it appears a huge goal at this point.
