Now before you all shoot me for daring to mention limited jobs in a positive light, I honestly think it's a good foundation for a new type of content. With that in mind I propse to you, Limited Heroic Jobs! I'm sure most of you have heard of one of SE's mobile games known as Mobius: Final Fantasy which in my opinion is a very high quality game in terms of mobile gameplay and story but very painful in terms of it's gacha memes. In said game, of the various iconic jobs you can play as, there are a handful of jobs based on other ff characters such as Tidus or Cloud from FF10 and FF7 respectively.
The protagonist basically goes full cosplay mode wearing their clothes, reciting a few of their battle lines and utilizing a carbon copy of their movesets and ultimates. Quite thrilling really, on top of that there are about 4 or 5 legendary jobs where you basically play as the actual character rather than dress up as them like our very own Y'sthola but that sadly is neither here or there.
With all that in mind limited heroic jobs would basically be that, Iconic protagonists from the ff franchise in the form of jobs with all the flare and accuracy you'd expect from a carbon copy "cloud" or "squall" themed job in limited job form of course.
Now you're probably thinking "what is wrong with OP?" or "what on earth lead to this idea?" and to answer the first question, nothing I'm perfectly sane I promise. To the second question, with the reveal of limited jobs as a whole, I couldn't help but harken back to the age old Lightning returns event as I looked in awe at our Lightning npc during fates and thought to myself "man I wish I could do that too like a lightning job or something..." and ultimately thought of mobius and the possibility of making that a reality. Not to mention all of the iconic ff outfits we've been getting over ther years could get proper use for all those "roleplay" characters.
Now I'm not gonna sit here and "white knight" the whole limited jobs idea since I know people were really excited to do group content with BLU and I'm sure the last thing they expected was BLU to even come out in the first place much less be considered solo "content" BUT should things go well with this "new idea of content" and we get more jobs under the limited flag who can say what the future could hold? Get a frequent number of jobs per expansion cycle? Maybe design GROUP content wether casual or hardcore around said limited jobs finally establishing proper midcore content into the game? Maybe throw iconic ff protag jobs into the mix? Maybe I'm giving them too much credit considering how "well" received diadem, eureka, and side content like lords of vermilion was? Who knows! I'm just nuts and this is a wall of text you skimmed or actually read for some crazy reason.
