I s'pose that makes sense. I'm by no means close to what many veterans have pointwise but I do have roughly just under 40% of all of them....

That's really one of my biggest peeves about this game. We rely so much on third party tools when it'd be such a QoL to just have them in game. And I'm not talking about divisive things like Parsers, but even simpler things, like "Hark, adventurer! They say this S rank was recently killed! I do not expect them to resurface for at least the next 20:45:34 hours!"
Why do I still need to look up gathering node info if I already hit them. What the fudge is the gathering log even good for. Why are you like this, game?

I think a problem with the third party sites is a lot of them use arbitrary rules.
Like no seasonal event achievements. No legacy achievements. Saw one that didn't include PvP achievements.

Basically saying to us "All this work you did doesn't count." And that's just unfair to the people who put in the work.

I think the best one I've found was a Japanese one, but I don't know what kind of system they use since it doesn't seem to include everyone in their top contender list.

As far as I know the only way that trackers reliably track information is via public information from the Lodestone.

Honestly a huge problem with 14 in general are the multilayered menus of navigation required to access information or a function.

I can't really care about achievements all that much but I see the value of showing their merit. The achievement point vendor could use a lot of work. As it stands it's a useless feature.

Everyone has their own sources of enjoyment and a particular end game goal for themselves. I won't put someone down for what they like to do but if I know anything from PSN and tropht information. Having that (achievement score) easily viewable can lead to a number of conversations that may or may not be wanted or could lead to a community akin to a 'mile high club' of sorts.

In the end it doesn't really matter to me. I like to tank and help people. But what do I know? I'm a nobody with the foolish endgame goal of acquiring all triple triad cards.

Years ago achievwments and trophies were pretty cool. My friends and I used to be quite competitive over such things. these days though you get them for nothing.

Kill your first enemy! >> Ding!! Some form of first blood achievement...
Made it past the opening credits. >> . Ding! Adventure begins achievement...
Collect your first collectible of 100+ items >> Ding! some form of treasure hunter beginner trophy..

Or many many things equally as stupid.

Or even worse these days achievements that reward you for playing badly.
Died 30 times!! dinggggg! achievement....
finihsed a mission with lower than 20% accuracy. DING!... achievement.
Lost an online match! Ding!!
lost 100 online matches. DING!!

These are just a few random ones I remember from various games I've played. but there's literally millions of them. They've just gone completely stupid these days..
I think thats why many people have stopped caring.. I used to be quite an avid trophy hunter on the PS4 proud of my 29 or so platinum trophies but when you find your friends who never finish a game ever are 5 levels higher than you because they got so many trash trophies it just kinda defeats the point

On one hand it would be cool to show them but on the other hand this can open quite the cans of worms too. What if people decide that you are not allowed to have an opinion if you dont have x amount of points even if you can still form an educated opinion about something?

So give them to us but also make sure that any sentence about someone not having a good enough opinion because of those should get punished for that. This way its truly just a nice way to show how much you play the game without holding it over other peoples head.
