About Points Allotted and Jobs

HI, was wondering if equipping a job will overwrite the stats given by allotted points, or if they'll still influence the jobs stats.

i.e., let's say we have 2 CNJs, one with balanced allotted points between attack and healing stats, in order to have a more versatile class, and the other with all points alloted in MND. Will the first character have a better WHM, in respect to the other one?

Ideally we should be able to reallot after 1.21 drops...

The whole point of the WHM job is to specialize in healing. The "versatility" is minimal. I would think that the WHM with maxed MND and points in VIT for buffs would have an easier time healing, but a WHM with his stats all over the place might perform only slightly inferior.

In the end, I think it really depends on the player.

You will keep how you've allocated your stats. Changing to a job is more like equipping a piece armor than like changing your discipline. When you become a white mage, you're STILL a conjurer, and you STILL have the points you allocated to your conjurer.

There is little reason a CNJ should put points in attack magic :P

I think in 1.21 we will be able to redistribute points so it probably won't matter.

Yeah, Jinko, it was just an example. I am actually not quite sure how to set points for my PGL.

personally i would enhance attack with gear and keep you base stats for healing that way it doesn't hurt you in a party later. But that's me
