Let's assume for a second that they do double all kinds of inventory. Guess what will happen? It still won't be enough. The same people will come forward again and cry that they've run out of space because they're compulsive hoarders who can't break a habit. They'll once again demand more space, and again and again. It is never enough with these people.

For what it's worth, I have almost everything at 70 with level appropriate gear, 6 retainers, a half full glamour dresser with 7 plates, and a half full saddlebag. The retainers could be easily condensed down to 2 if I could be bothered. You know how? Throwing things away, shocking concept I know. Those 6 Nidhogg totems you're still holding on to despite not running it since 3.4? Chuck them. Currency bloat isn't a thing if you're smart and don't hold on to them when they're no longer relevant. The only currency taking up space should be the Alphascape stuff, the 24 man coins, and savage books. Maybe a primal totem or two of choice.

If you're an endgame crafter/gatherer, throw away anything from 3.0 and earlier that isn't from a timed node, you don't need most of them for anything relevant. "But what if?"- then go gather/buy them as necessary, then chuck away the excess.

People like to make out it's Square's fault that they don't have free space, and while I partly agree, I firmly believe the playerbase is more at fault for not having more self control and little to no management skills.
