I'd imagine he's very aware of that. That's exactly why Jessie hired Nero in the first place...

I've been operating under the assumption that the gear was designed to look vaguely like the LV50 Ironworks set, but as if Nero had innovated and redesigned and overdone it in every conceivably way; and this assumption has yet to fail me.

The RDM Scaevan weapon has an entry in Lore Book 2 and well... it fits this description perfectly.
