I would have 0 problems moving to crystal if i could still do party and group finder stuff with the vast majority of my regular contacts that are going to be still on Aether.

Sounds like you should make use of the free world transfers they've announced are part of the reorganising process? If friends are higher priority than housing then it sounds like you're the sort of person they're aiming at.
