    Screen dimming error?

    Hi all,
    I have a really strange issue with FF XIV.
    When I start the game, and "Square Enix" logo appears screen immediately dims or just goes black, not sure. Sometimes I see the logo for like half a second, sometimes I don't and just end up in Start Game screen.
    I can play the game just fine, but the same black screen issue appears when I get disconnect, meaning, I can't see the error table or able to see "OK" button that comes with it. Funny thing though. If I press ALT+TAB at that moment, I can see the table while at it. When alt tabbed back to the game I navigate my mouse on the "OK" button blindly and I am able to click on it (while screen is still black).
    I updated drivers to the latest ones.
    I ran game in full screen and windowed modes.
    So yeah... HELP! And thank you all.

    Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    I'm having some trouble understanding what you mean by some of this. The game will give you a black screen while starting up, but you can play the game just fine? You also mentioned an error message, what did the error message say?

    Would it be possible to link a video of what is happening? That may make it easier to convey what is happening.

    Additionally, can you submit a Final Fantasy XIV system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'
