I was merely curious as to whether you were willing to elaborate or not. I'm sure it would be a rich and engaging discussion.

All the lore talks in the "What Things Annoy You" thread has got me interested, and I recently found out about this community discord. I would love to see some discussion, off-site where you don't have to worry about post counts - where you can be you.

Did this discord ever take off? I'd love to participate in a community driven, and run, discord where open discussion is at the forefront. I am not a super lore buff, but I do have a passing interest, and I wouldn't mind participating more in it. Discovering all the little intricacies of the game! Discover the what could be the fate of Eorzea!

I admire your enthusiasm! The Discord did take off at first but unfortunately some rabble-rousing took place. Upon reflection, I decided to retire the channel - though I have since been approached by a number of people who have gradually convinced me to give it another go. It is my firm belief that there is a niche for a Discord channel devoted to FFXIV that is laid back and not super serious. For those of us who enjoy discussing the story and characters but do not want to have to sift through the baggage that comes with the tone policing and theatrics that have become alarmingly common around these parts.

As such, I shall be reworking and reforging this project in the coming days/weeks. I'll be sure to keep people up to date on that front, most likely with a fresh thread.
