It's still a game, treating it as a job is absurd. Sure you have to show up on time for raids. but having to bring a "Resume" and being judged before people even get to know you is a cancer.

There is someone I know who plays the game and uses skills specifically based on how they look aesthetically. They ask to be carried through content. Not as interpretation. They just ask for it.

There are people who are like this. There are also people who feel thta they dont have to improve. As long as their pressing buttons, thats all thats needed. Not doing mechanics right, its ok, someone else will res me. Not doing well on holding aggro? It's ok, there's another tank. Not doing enough healing or damage, its fine, thats what DPS are for. And when tehy do poorly and hinder the group, they expect to be given just as much access to Mounts, Loot, and etc, as people who try very hard to complete the content.

I think youre really narrow minded if you dont think there are players who do the bare minimum (intentionally or not) and expect to be rewarded the same as people who really spend time practicing this game and getting better at it.

Some DO WANT to be carried. I wanted to help a Shinryu EX clear party and a tank joined and literally said "This is my first time doing this. Is it OK if I joined?". At least they were decent to let the party know before they trap us. And of course you also have the ones that join HW unsync EX trials that didn't even bother to watch a guide or get some little understanding of the mechanics.

I didn't say NOBODY wants to be carried period. also can you please point out where in the tanks message he said he wanted to be carried? I must be blind since all I see is "This is my first time". if its not ok for him to join you coulda just politely told him no, since it was a clear party.

And when I said some DO WANT, I was referring to the set you mentioned. And in that set, some do join with the intent of being carried and they don't have to explicitly state that (doesn't make them brainless). And you'll see a lot of them in unsynced clear parties and older content of the current expansion. They join hoping that their lack of understanding of the fight mechanics wouldn't hold the team down too much and that the team will put the needed work clear the content.

As for the tank I mentioned, we did kick him out. He didn't have to explicitly ask to be carried, as I stated. But he did try to join a fight with 0 knowledge about its mechanics and hoping to get a clear while making the rest of the party do the majority of the work and more to fix any mistakes he does.

What "I" consider to be carrying is when you let the rest of the team do more work to cover up for your mistakes, lack of understanding of fight mechanics or your class. E.g. when you're a DPS class and your DPS is lower than a tank's DPS in endgame content. Doesn't matter if you're doing it intentionally or not. You're being carried in that scenario.

Oh you call me kid? No arguments only insults, seems to be pretty mature of you. You seem to have a lot of hate inside you if you can't even remotly discuss in a propper manor. There is a difference between people who need practice and people who did over 50 runs in something and still do bad, aka the people who let others carry them.

Also why are you bringing up this drama on discord for? Someone that is a true adult would not be insulting people at all. A Mature adult would lay down the facts, and comment on the situation only. You made a mistake on that discord from the sound of things coming from you and others, stop making a second one. An adult also learns from her mistakes, not repeating them like you are currently.
