    Job Crystal Progression Concept

All Classes should have like for example 5 Job Levels that are part of their progression. Based on the Job level of our Class does change then our Skill Set

    Part 2:

Scholar should get removed/reworked under this concept and replaced with Dancer as a Healer Job Line and be used only in the story temporary for Alisae, until she changes to Redmage when she gets the rapier

    Job Level 1 = Performer = Max Level 50
    Job Level 2 = Dancer = Max Level 70
    Job Level 3 = Swashbuckler = Max Level 80
    Job Level 4 = Harlequin = Max Level 90
    Job Level 5 = Dervish = Max Level 100

Blue Mage should become the games Joker Job, which should adapt to the situation based on using fitting Monster Skills

And lastly should get added as new tank job line this, using instead of books now Gloves (Magic Gauntlets, which can basically share the skins with Fist Weapons, but are just for Magicians instead of Warriors)

    Job Level 1 = Scholar = Max Level 50
    Job Level 2 = Mesmer = Max Level 70
    Job Level 3 = Dreamcatcher = Max Level 80
    Job Level 4 = Illusionist = Max Level 90
Job Level 5 = Time Mage (Chronomancer) = Max Level 100.

Now you may ask, tanking without heavy gear and no shields ect.? You will jiust see, hoe powerful Time Magic is for basicalyl tanking and negsting anything, that actually happened, making it in an instant unhappen again through powerful Health Regegenrations by turning back the time, supprting the party with Haste, and slowing foes, thus decreasing their DPS, what makes in return tanking alot easier, or create with the help of Time magic illusions of your self and clones, that catch up damage for you instead and help in tanking masses of enemies, keeping aggressivity on you.
Chronomancers are the perfect Magic Tanks that this game is missing. So far we have only 2 physical tanks, its time for a magical one now.

These concept suggestions of yours are never very down to earth are they? I suppose there's no harm in writing these "what if?" threads, but none of this would conceivably ever happen.

Sorry but this is Final Fantasy not some terrible korean F2P mobile game. Having different skillsets every 10-20 levels is a pain in the ass and doesn't make sense for balancing jobs with any form of continuity. So you're a level 80 Dragon Knight but then you do a level 70 primal and you get bumped down and now you have a different skill set?

The only FF game that had "prestige" classes was FF1 and it was a straight upgrade that kept the continuity of the base job but added better stats/equipment and added magic (in case of Thief->Ninja and Warrior->Knight). The classes in FFXIV are named such for a reason based on the lore and story surrounding them. It makes no sense to unlock Dragoon at level 30, with the entire story and all the NPCs referring to you and others as Dragoons but then not officially being called a Dragoon till level 80, and then it changing to Sky Rider or whatever later.

If anything, I can see the job crystal evolving visually or bestowing better stats, but at the end of the day, it's a piece of crystal that carries aetheric imprints of past wielders of our jobs, which when we listen/view their lives via the echo (never shown, but is inferred), we learn long-lost spells and techniques in a manner of days/weeks instead of years/decades it would take to learn them naturally.

Yeah, like having answered to your post in my monk concept Jolly, its just a big what if, out of boredom and i also dont believe, that somethign like this will happen.
Its just an idea i had in mind, what kind of class potential this game could theoretically have with its existing classes and the few yet missing jobs from the job concept of final fantasy of jobs that we have literally seen in the old FF games, together with some kind of inspiration that I have from GW2, mixing both practically together under the idea of character progression, if our job crystals wouldnt stay forever just how they are, when we receive them.

That there is alot of hardcoded in stuff in the game, which would need to get either be renamed if only harmless small to change things, or if more troublesome relocalized stuff even with voice file changes, makes it naturally clear to me as well, that such a task will never be done in this game - its too late/old for that.
But only because something will never happen, doesnt mean, that I can't just think about it, how nice an improved form of character progression would be to have in this game, especially when compared to GW2, which is in this point clearly superior over FF14, which has basically ZERO character individuality at all and progression, aside of just getting the job crystals and learning some skills on the way to max level leading to the point, that in the end is everyone exactly the same.

This sounds like a lot of extra complications, with no real benefits to anyone.
    So, no thanks.

lol, there is nothign in this world, that is not complicated, would we stop alwaqys at somethign, only because it might be complicated, then we wouldnt progress at all in this life.
We woulldnt even be, what we are today, if mankind would have alwasys stopped at something, because it sounded complicated.

The benefit is called character progression, because thats somethign that FF14 is completely LACKING OFF TOTALLY.
This game becomes immediately the very moment you reach max level completely bland and boring, because it offers absolutely no character progression beyond that point, with that you could improve your character and build individuality, because somethign like this simple doesn't exist at all in FF14 (yet sadly)

If you played like me for over a decade GW1 and GW2 especially, then you will especially understand in comparison with FF14, about what I'm talking here.
The only thign one might call character progression here eventually is the hunt for weapon skins - like especially of those relic, eureka, anima ect. weapons, which would be basically FF14's equivalent to GW2s legendary weapons, but that was it then.
The poiunt of my concept here was up to show up, how much potential basically lies in FF14 for improved character progression, if SE increases the caps anyways with each expansion, at least until we reach 100 when I think its best that they should stop doing this. Also because its FF's classical endgame level cap (99+ 1 starter level)

The benefit would be, also that classes would receive more depth and gameplay improvements, makign them over the course of their progression line more fun to play and depthful, especialyl also too, if SE would change the class change from the change of the weapon to a class change via using different head gears, enablign this way classes to use multiple different weapons, so that they could have also different weapon skill sets/skill set ups, which is ABSOLUTELY NECCESSARY, if FF14 should ever have something like class individuality and build individuality, so that not everyone in the endgame is exactly the same.

3x you may guess, why FF14 has for so long absolutely no success with their PVP, while GW2 compared to that had it up to a certain point, because there you have class individuality. There you can use traits, to actually change the effects of your skills, there you have equipment upgrades, that exactually can change how your class plays and aren't just only some ultra borign tiny stat boosts only that basically have only such a marginal effect, that you don#t recognize them at all, except maybe those for more MP as a healer and HP for everythign else.

I wish FF14 and GW2 could fuse together, because then we would basically have in regard of gameplay mechanics the truly perfect mmorpg on the market ^^, because they make exactly opposite right and wrong, what the other does lol
Certain things that FF14 makes perfect, does GW2 terrible or doesnt even have it..
Certain thigns that GW2 does perfect and is superior in it like combat and character progression, makes FF14 not or is terrible in it, due to no individualism in this game, aside of fashion xD

I hope this post made clearer now, where I'm coming from ^^

It made it clearer what your goal is, but not why your proposed method would be a good way to achieve that goal.
As you may have noticed, ever since the release of ARR the developers have slowly but surely removed all ways of customizing our characters except for gear. So your idea is pretty much dead on arrival anyhow.

And when you reach job level 5 in your proposed system, what then? What is the character progression past that point? Unfortunately there's no creative AI yet that can create endless new content.
