To clarify on that point, a damage shield such as TBN will negate the knockback effect when it is part of an attack that does damage, such as the knockback attack that Zenos does when you fight him in Ala Mhigo, but only if your shield absorbs ALL the damage the attack does. If the attack does enough to break the shield and do any damage at all, even a single HP, then you get affected by the knockback.
