I hate to tell you this, but Edda's dead. Unless they mentioned that they were going to toss dead NPCs into their trust system, in which case this comment is irrelevant.

If XI's Trust System is something to go by, we can count on characters that would not normaly be available canonically.

As long as Estenien and Merlwyb are recruitable, I'll be a happy man. Honestly, I'm surprised no one has mentioned Godbert. It would be crazy to see him suplexing stuff. xD

The way they said it, I felt it was implied that it does not work anywhere near it's XI equivalent, but is actually the real deal aiding the player in their job.

As in, if it was, for example, Merlwyb, then it meant that the Admiral would leave La Noscea to join the adventurer in whatever task was at hand, not some simulacrum or magical construct. But it was NOT said directly, one way or another.

And even if it was the case, there's no reason to believe it's not something that can change.

Yeah, all I really need are Haurchefant and Hildibrand. Would be nice to pal around with Greg and Jim for an excellent journey too.

Would be kind of funny to have the Wandering Minstrel and Wandering Dramaturge in a party.

And then later I'd like to have another XI event to unlock Shantotto and Iroha as trusts, as they have been to Eorzea before. I may settle for Lamimi being possessed by Shatotto.
