    Perpetual disconnects in duties/housing (90002)

    Hello,

I'm getting disconnects anywhere between 1 second (just now!) and 5 minutes when I run a duty or invoke the interior housing command. I've done everything in the connection troubleshooting thread, my ISP has confirmed my connection (300/30) is fine on their end. I've run Wireshark while in Heaven-on-High during one of these disconnect-fests and the server IP has been 204.2.229.83. Every traceroute I run times out between hops 8 & 9 (and the traceroutes always go the same path):

    8: ae-41.r02.snjsca04.us.bb.gin.ntt.net
    9: xe-0-1-0-1-1.r00.scrmca02.us.ce.gin.ntt.net

Cox is my ISP, from central US. I'm aware of the ongoing DDoS issues, but when I reach out to others doing duties, no one is being perpetually disconnected as I am. Perhaps my ISP is being routed in NTT the same way each time? This is when I'm playing a character on Mateus by the way, which I don't believe is relevant since they're both on Aether, but it's a detail I wanted to add.

I don't meme, so this is 100% genuine - the game is literally unplayable.

Tonberry PS4 player here. Been having the 90002s since Friday (the 16th), though I didn't get a chance to play on the weekend. Tried to log in today for reset and nope, still getting disconnected. Tried restarting router, using LAN cable, and redoing my connection settings a few times but no changes. Not sure what else to do for PS4, internet itself is excellent and gameplay-wise I had very little issue even during the DDOS period until Friday.

    The same error here:
    - Windows
    - WIFI
    - No other programs. Antivirus: Avast
    - The issue started 2 days ago. I got error 90002, followed by ~1h error 2002 cannot connect to the data center.
    - Don't know if related, but I try to do one and the same thing - use the duty finder to do the Praetorium dungeon (finish the ARR story)

It's so frustrating as the subs days go away like this...

    Thank you for the reply!

For anyone still experiencing a disconnect, please try the following options:

    - The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

-Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

    Hope to see you online!
