Well I hadn't thought about it much, but if there are no AF weapons for 1.21... do bards just fold Ifrit's Bow into a harp? o.0 or will we have to buy new weapons entirely? v_v''

seriously, someone asked this. it says clearly in class reform. you should not have answered them.Hey gang,
There were a few questions answered in regards to the upcoming debut of the Job System that we wanted to pass along. While this isn't the full list of details, as those will be revealed on Lodestone in an upcoming article, there are a few questions we have answers for.
A player asked if you can use job stones (tentative) while in combat; and just like changing classes, as long as you're in passive mode and not engaged with an enemy, you'll be able to switch jobs.
There was also a question about linking class weapon skills with job specific weapon skills; since you'll be able to utilize your class actions while on a job (for example, using lancer actions while playing as dragoon), you will be able to combo class and job actions. There was also a question asking to confirm whether or not you can wear job artifact armor while playing as a class; you cannot wear job specific armor while playing as a class.

Honestly wondered about this myself. It seems sort of silly to have the need to equip something to change your job/class. It should have been an option in the menu or something on/near the action bar that you just click. Having item equip tied to changing jobs just creates too many problems. Inventory space is one of them.
Maybe they could just have the Job Weapons equippable by the base class but have all its stats disabled unless you're on the Job.
This or something similar will probably happen. I think we'll see a decent amount of job gear and standard job weapons along with the AF armor.

Job glyph or rune, anything BUT job stone or dressphere.

Heyo!
While some of the information maybe easy to assume, there's nothing wrong with spelling it out and making it clear so everyone knows for sure (like being able to change jobs when you would like to). It's good to share information for a wide audience without the need to talk down to someone who asked it in the first place so let's try and keep it civil.
And Reinheart, as I'm sure you saw from today's post, players will be able to also change jobs once you've obtained the job stones (again name tentative) using text commands, so that will also be helpful in the situation you outlined.![]()
