Better AA; if only to cut down on the Moire effect when seeing stairs in the distance while flying.

If it didn’t likely require reweighting all the visible outfit pieces in the game, I would say more body sliders. Especially the hips. There, I said it - I wish my character didn’t look nearly flat in the back from neck to ankle.

I want the foliage like the grass and bushes reacting when my character passes by it just like in other MMORPG.

This is easily the most attractive change for me. More than a couple friends have asked why my computer "seems to be having a stroke" due to constantly "shivering" edges of trees, boards, and even seemingly flat terrain, and the "eye-tearing shiver-circles" that appear on stairways. One of them outright quit over it being too jarring for them to stand when starting in Thanalan.

Better textures, less clipping and more polygon count especially on the charater models as well

That wouldn't fly in current FFXIV where we have to be precise as a surgeon when it comes to positioning for mechanics. Moreover, 1.0 FFXIV you couldn't turn on a dime, your character tilted when you turned like Red Dead/GTA. Now post ARR, you spin instantly depending on the direction.
I would have said this, as watching 1.0 footage, I really like how smooth and natural movement was. However, I do recognize the need for unnatural, snappy movement for the reasons you described.

Let's really push the technical envelop and introduce bilinear texture filtering as well.

Poly counts aren't going to budge, because if new higher detailed skeletons are introduced on armor, and it's being worn by EVERYONE... the processor use is greatly increased meaning that the game's recommended settings have to increase, which means those on the cusp of "Minimum Requirement" cards might be left behind... and THAT's a headache in and of itself.

The best thing that's going to happen with the end of 32-bit support is the use of higher-rez textures, that's it. Which is honestly what the game needs.

Something I'd like to see fixed is reflections. Movement in reflective surfaces like the Sultana's meeting table do not match the movement of the person - they are jerky and move frame-to-frame. I find it very distracting.

I'm not sure if it's better in newer parts of the game (as it's one of those things you don't even think about unless it's "wrong"), but it's very noticable in ARR, which I'm replaying at the moment.

If anything, they could do with allowing the option to turn "Off" some options, which currently only allow "Normal" or "High".
