The sad event with Branden and how to make it better next time

Inviting gaming journalists to cover an event may be a great idea, if the journalist understands 2 cents of what games and gaming is about. Brendan clearly doesn't, as so many others. It was a poor choice, made by some one who does not understand how gaming journalism works.

So I will leave this suggestion, next time try to invite some one that covers gaming news for living, but it is also passionate about video games. On the top of my head 3 names come to mind YONGYEA, SKILL UP or PRETTY GOOD GAMING. This guys are independent, honest, have a reputation and, if they like what they see, they will put their souls into promoting it.

Any of those and so many others would have been a much better choice than Brendan, who was incredibly unprofessional. Revealing lack of knowledge about the venue, the game and the community.

If this is about that one guy who asked the weird rp question to Yoshi, then I agree with you, and I’ll go a step farther and say that with that Kind of lack of professionalism, neither the person or whoever he’s reporting for needs to be invited back to an SE event of any kind. From what I’ve read, not only was much of what he ‘reported on’ irrelevant to the event, but even out of what was relevant, his responses were blatantly disrespectful of those he interviewed and seemed pretty clueless of gaming communities in general, much less FFXIV specifically. But I believe there is already a thread about this.
