The point of a limited job is to prevent that kind of homogenization. Balance isn't as strict. It'd work if you homogenized the crap out of all of the abilities so the difference between pets are only "type". Which would frankly be lame as all hell. And let's not kid ourselves. The second they announce beastmaster you'll have all of these long time beastmaster "fans" popping out of the woodwork saying Yoshi shouldn't have wasted time adding a job you can't raid with. lol...
I think if BST does come and likely in the limited system a really interesting piece of content they could bundle it with is the FFX monster arena system.. allowing us to capture and create and unlock various boss and super boss creatures to fight. Either solo or with preformed groups. It’s not likely but it’d be a cool system to see implemented, and BST is uniquely suited for the content.
Tip top idea actually. I liked FFXs monster arena system and I liked X-2s monster arenaI think if BST does come and likely in the limited system a really interesting piece of content they could bundle it with is the FFX monster arena system.. allowing us to capture and create and unlock various boss and super boss creatures to fight. I'd like to be able to tame monsters that level up. If you've ever played Jade Cocoon on the old PS1, something like that would be incredible for FFXIV's beastmaster. I loved that game so much.
"We want bunny suits for guys!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Ishgard housing!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Viera!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Cloud's motorcycle!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Blue Mage!"-- OK! ✅
"We want the ability to earn past Feast rewards!" - HAHA no that's sacred.
While I love Jade Cocoon. That was less of a collectathon and more of an all you can fuse buffet while you mess about with inheritance rules and create your teams of stone cold killers. While fusing would be an interesting concept I'm not sure it would fit. Unless you mean creating an interactive way to capture these things
They should just turn BeastMaster into the classic PS1 game Monster Rancher. Im sure I still have a collection of CD's somewhere that can give me some really good monsters.![]()
"Brotherhood asked for no friendship, only loyalty. They stood back to back as the galaxy burned - always brothers, never friends; traitors together unto the last."
