OR they could eventually add core abilities to make the job raidable. Honestly don't understand why you made this thread, you're already getting what you want, so why not give both sides of the community what they want?

Because while I can understand why people who've played FFXI and are pasionate about wanting the somewhat same experience in ffXIV, we currently live in a day and age where it's extremely mainstream to hate on things that others are hating on.
Some hate or frustration is justified some some hate is ignorance.
While justified hate and frustration can be taken into debate through criticism and constructive feedback based on various experiences and potentially enhance the game.
While hate through ignorance from an extremely vocal minority can lead to otherwise great mechanics or gameplay experience to be lost or even pontential future mechanics or gameplay experiences based on the previous mentioned to never happen.
So I take my liberty to speak out loud why I believe it's a good thing to have these kind of mechanics, and I choose to do so on a general discussion forum that's currently filled with a lot of negative posts on this specific topic in hope of perhaps enligthen those who complain just to complain
In short, I'm sorry it was labeled "BLUE MAGE" and not a brand new class that people wouldn't have an association with because perhaps that way it would be recieved with a more positive approach.
In the same way that Diablo immortal couldve been a good / neutral thing if a certain company would already have an established modern game in the same franchise or perhaps a new annoucement to go with it.

Let me frame this for you oh enlightened one. Say you're a SMN and for shadowbringers they say "we are going to let you summon full primals including Odin!" WOW THAT'S AWESOME! "Of course these summons would be far too powerful, so from now on the entire summoner job is now locked out from all content except this little play pen we've built for you.". Yes, rather than balance full primals for the game, or just lock that specific part of summoner behind solo/undersized whatever, they lock the ENTIRE JOB out of all content. You think summoner mains wouldn't have something to say about that?Because while I can understand why people who've played FFXI and are pasionate about wanting the somewhat same experience in ffXIV, we currently live in a day and age where it's extremely mainstream to hate on things that others are hating on.

You're not some superior intellect for having a different opinion from the rest of us plebs. Maybe people are upset that their favourite job is relegated to a glorified mini-game rather than just being ignorant?

For the same reason people make threads to voice their complaints. Voicing your support of a design decision is just as necessary/important as voicing complaints.

If you try to give everyone what they want, then no one truly gets what they want.
Make one pie for 20 people of a flavour everyone is 'okay with', everyone barely gets anything at all. Just because raids are in games does NOT mean everything has to be catered to do so. Many people have also argued in the past that blue mage CAN NOT be run in a traditional means with our battle system without it feeling a bit stale, to say the very least.
Anyone can come along and say 'just make it do everything'. But I haven't seen anything that I've actually agreed with that would make it work outside of what they have it planned as. Your comment is like a plain flavoured popsicle, aka frozen water.

"Core Abilities" should be learnable abilities, possibly altered versions of other learned abilities. So if you want to go into random groups you need to have learned all the abilities on a list. The list get's longer for higher level content. there could be lists for all three roles but you can only queue for that role if you have the complete list for that role and level of content.
In pre-mades you would be in your "outside" form still, or have the option to switch.
