Alphascape 4.0 is worse than Flowerpot

I had a gtx1070, 2K monitor,
in Alphascape 4.0, the stage looks so simple & flat, but my fps dropped to 45-50,

I had to upgrade to 2080 to keep my fps over 60

Can I have my flowerpot back?it looks a lot nicer than this big flat ground

I have a 1080 and stay over 100. My laptop has a 1070 and no problem staying over 80-90. It's not the area but most likely your card. I think it was going bad. I have friends that have less than a 1070 and don't have any problem.

I have a brand new card RX 560 (not the greatest but 2x as powerful as my old one), get easy 60+ FPS everywhere else but here. But it's weird, if the camera is pointed toward the middle of the arena, FPS drops to 40. When the camera is facing the vastness of space behind the fighting, it shoots back up to 60. I dunno. Maybe it needs new drivers, maybe there's a memory leak or somethin'.

I have a GTX 1060 6GB and a QHD (I assume this is what you mean by "2K") monitor and get 60fps in there. It might be a VRAM issue there, or simply that you had a weird card incompatibility. But I guess if you have the money for a 2080, do whatever you want.

Also if you already upgraded to 2080, like you say and you have +60 fps now... then why make this thread?
Why not make this thread before buying a 2080?

Could be a driver issue or software issue or a setting somewhere that was wrong...

Yes, if you look at the floor in Alphascape 4.0, the fps drop a lot.

No, it's not hardware issue,
SE seems wasted a lot of polygons on the flat ground

Even with my 2080, it eats up to 70% GPU resources, it's on par with the Shadow of the Tomb Raider, this is crazy

Has to be a hardware issue on your end. I play on a GTX 970M (so a laptop card) running ReShade at 1080p and lowest mine has dropped in v12 is ~55 FPS. Most angles I get 60 FPS. I have other's battle effects set to limited, mine on all. Friend of mine plays at 4K on a 980 with ~40 FPS.

I have bigger FPS drops with the exploding fists in v11s than in v12.
Sounds like your 1070 was a bad card.

I get a slight FPS dip in O12, but nothing that I'm gonna lose sleep over. I get worse dips in hunts and Eureka.


I'm used to 30 FPS limit in a lot of stuff that I play so it takes a more significant drop than that to start affecting my enjoyment.
