    Game Closing Immediately



    When I got to launch FF from the patcher, this error pops up and the game closes. Any ones else have this problem or know of a reason why?

    Further Testing

    I asked my friends about it and they said I would need to reinstall, but it seems my game will play fine on my Main Display. I have two screens, often I have it playing on my second larger display and use my Main display on the smaller monitor for other things. Once I changed main displays it resolved itself thus far.

    Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums,

    The error you are describing occurs when Direct X crashed. You mentioned having multiple displays when playing the game. Does the crash happen when it is on one monitor? Also could you provide a system report for Final Fantasy XIV?
