    Leveling EXP

So I am trying to determine the best/fastest XP. I told a friend playing a healer to run leveling roulette repeatedly. He ran PoTD 51-60 once, then leveling roulette, and said “Nope! The roulette gave almost no experience” and he is at level 42..is that right? Is leveling roulette no longer a good way to grind for healers/tanks? At least with tanks you eventually get a mount, but seems kind of stinky for healers to get sub par xp and no rewards, considering their demand.

You messed up with the word "repeatedly". Leveling Roulette is great IF you are getting the bonus for running it once that day. Just like all the roulettes, they don't pay out if you run it more than once a day.

Also, the exp gain will vary. Since lower level instances will give less exp than higher level ones (the bonus at the end should be similar, though), sometimes you get less payout than others. However, landing in something like Ifrit means you are getting the roulette bonus for like 45 seconds of work, so it's MEGA efficient.

Hmm...I had always thought the best way to level as a tank/Healer was spamming roulettes.

I guess we will have him stick to PoTD

For tanks and healers isn't just spamming the highest level dungeon you can do the same as Potd? That's how I've been doing it as Potd is very boring in my opinion.

Roulettes once a day then spamming your highest level dungeon available is best for tanks and healers.
PotD is better for DPS due to queue times.

I personally recommend doing a bit of everything to avoid burnout. PVP also gives exp, Clan Hunts and Beast Tribe quests in the expansions give decent exp, Leves and Fates aren't great but they still give exp and there are decent bonuses for them in the Challenge Log.

The best XP is the one entertaining (or at the very least not boring) you.

The fastest XP is probably PotD / queing for Roulettes while doing other stuff (= what Moomba33 said).

DR:Leveling's daily bonus scales to compensate you for running content that is possibly far below your level. This bonus is only applied the first time you run the roulette on a given day.

To reiterate, if you ignore que times then you get best results running the good roulettes once per day for the big bonus then repeating the highest level dungeon(s) you can. For a tank or healer, you do basically ignore que times so you can do just that. For DPS, once you pass the top roulettes the wait gets to be long enough that just jumping over to PotD ends up speeding along the process.

Also, another thing: Don't forget to take advantage of stuff like your FC's guild buffs (if they use them), Squadron Battle Manuals, and cheap food to get as much extra XP as possible while running your dungeons. Doing stuff like Beast Tribe quests every day doesn't hurt either, as you can work on these if you have queues to wait on. Other than that, run your roulettes once each a day and then run the highest level dungeon available for your job for as much as you're willing to do at a time. Rinse, wash, repeat until you hit the level cap.
