For all the rage on Blue Mage, mine included lol, I'm over here PRAYING the Gunblade job will be a DPS knowing it's probably a tank lol.
I've wanted a Gunblade job that plays like Squall from Dissidia since my FFXI days.

Sure, have 4 DPS classes back to back, wouldn't even surprise me to be honest.
The excuse probably being "We completely reworked DRK".
I’m hoping for a hint of a healer next fanfest.. fingers crossed
If Monk has to share Striking sets with Samurai, then Dragoon should have to share Maiming sets with Soldier/Gunblader, and Ninja Scouting sets with Dancer.
Shame Blue Mage is limited, I'd have liked to have seen Red Mage moved off Caster sets (robes don't become a Red Mage IMO), the two could share a Fencer INT set (although with a cane as a weapon I guess not now) or something... It would have pleased me to see two jobs on each DPS gear set; two ranged, two scouting, two caster, two fencer, two striking, two maiming. Two sets for INT, two sets for DEX, two sets for STR... It would have been perfect...

fun thing is if Gun becomes a tank, then tanks will have 4 Sword classes while dps has technically one ;w; i would love a proper sword class as a dps
i kind of think they might be a reverse RDM, a class focusing on close up attacks with ranged combos
Sometimes you just got to have Some fun
Ya know, on the one hand I'd be fine with us DPS people not getting anything now. We had two deeps in Stomblood, Ninja is better than ever (screw HW ninja) and tanks and healers really need new toys.
But there is no way in hells the gunblade job will be tank. Gunblades have always been two handed weapons. Or used with no off hand at least (Jake is the only exception who dual wields.)
So Gunblade class as tank would be:
The third out of four tanks to use sword.
The third out of four tanks not to use a shiled (the icon for tanks)
The third out of four tanks to use parry.
No way. We will have another surprise class for tank. Or Dancer as the evasion tanks and something else as the surprise healer
That's not how you spell pimp.

To your point about Gunblades always being a 2 handed weapon as a reason it couldn't be a tank DRK would like a word. (Secretly tho I hope you are right.)Ya know, on the one hand I'd be fine with us DPS people not getting anything now. You- you realise that two of the three tanks have two-handed weapons, right?
My money is 100% in GUN tank, but that's because I believe the blufever leaks (BLU in 4.5, viera+ronso, GUN tank and DNC heals). So far it's been spot on, as have their other leaks.
I do hope Squalls revolver or Lion heart is a glamor weapon for Gunblade tank like chicken knife was for RDM
War isn't a tank.... It's just a DPS the Devs decided to put enmity on their moves.... joking. And yea, the leaks are why I think Gunblade job is a tank.
