Forgotten by SE but not by me

It is, again, time for my periodiic rant concerning the Bastard Stepchid of FFXIV----the Local Leveequest system

It has been 11 months since there any major adjustments to the Local Leveequest. Though patch 1.16 did correct a number of problems that existed with the system at the time many more remained and still remain.

Local Leveequest continue to use the same outdated recipes that they have employed for over a year. If you look at the quests you will find that about 85% are for Dated items. The only adjustments were for the distribution of Exp and the rewards offered

The number of quests per level group has not changed since 1.16. Crafters, like me, are continually having to take quests that are undervalued in relationship to their current level. This has become a bigger problem with the introduction of Levee Allotments. Example. I recently taking Gsm to level 50. From level 43 to 50 I was forced to do level 40 quests about 65% of the time. By level 49 these quests were giving less then 100 Exp/synth. There are some quests of all levels. The problem is if I wanted to wait for them to cycle in I would hyave to wait 4 days to see them. This problem is prevelent throughout all the classes in all the level groups.

As I have mentioned there has been no word from the Dev Team about future improvements to the Local Leveequest system. Great strides have been made with the Reagonal system why not Local. With the upcoming changes to the Class/Job system adjustments are imperative. As it is I do not have either the inventory space or the Gil for all the Mats I would need for grinding. Only going to get worse after Ver 1.21.

I would like to make the following recommendations to improve the system:

    1. A complete redo of all the requested synths is sorely needed. You have the template on hand, just fill in the slots. These recipes should reflect the future of FFXIV, not the past

    2. Create enough quests so that a Crafter can obtain at least 1 quest for each 5 level group above 20 from each city. In conjunction with this take the level 20 group and break it down into 2 groups, 1 for level 20 and 1 for level 30. In each of the groups there should be at least 1 quest for every 5 levels

    3. for Ver 2.0 introduce Guild Representatives into the Grand Companies. These representaives would only come from the Guilds that are not housed in the City of the Grand Company and would offer Guild support for the appropriate fees. This would alleveiate the constant need to fly back and forth from city to city.

I have offered many of these complaints and recommendations before and I have not received any inkling that they have been receive and reviewed by the Dev Team. I do not expect that to change now, but you never know.

I am hoping that most of you will keep your Flame pens sheathed and either support this or offer constructive alternatives.

This already came up recently... and they said they are removing dated recipes which include ones used in locals in 1.22 ( I think)

Just use hasty hand for now if you are 49.

I'd like it if local levequests used a system similar to regional levequests, in that you are guaranteed four for each 10 level range, and have the ability to alter the difficulty. They could likely use recipes that are unique to the leve, just like regional leves have unique monsters.
