    Future improvements for Eureka.

    Many people speculate that once 5.0 hits, getting your 4.0 relic will be nigh impossible due to the design of Eureka as a whole. The following is my recommendation on how to improve it.

    TL : DR Light grinds always suck, here's a bunch of ways to alleviate it. Lessen RNG, increase light and crystal gain.

    1) Decrease NM spawn timers / spawn conditions

    Right now they sit at 3 hours. What this results in is people hopping from instance to instance trying after they've done a round of NM popping.

    Also, mob kill requirements needed to spawn NM need lowered for later. Someone on reddit did a test and for Dino/Giz in Anemos, he had to kill **150** mobs before the NM would spawn. That's ridiculous.

    Heck, People rarely see Cassie as it is currently.

    2) Remove NM weather spawn conditions

    Weather based spawn conditions in this game have never been implemented well do to weather patterns and RNG. Once the content dies down anything with a weather based spawn condition will be nigh impossible to complete. SE has sort of acknowledged this by offering Pazuzu / Louhi currency for Anemos / Pagos Crystals

    3) Rebalance NM HP/Damage.

    Many players seem to think that if an instance is dead, you could kill NM's by yourself if you spawn them.

    That's just simply not true.

    4) For the light phase, anything over level 30/45 gives some form of light (even if it's feeble every mob).

    Going through 60 enemies an not getting any light is frustrating. Or use chains as a sort of "Bad Luck Protection".

    5) Change the challenge log to award crystals or light if you've reached the max level of the section.

    This would encourage players to play the content they should be in. A popular tactic for the pagos section was to complete your challenge log in Anemos because Pagos was so badly designed. Putting Crystals or light in the Challenge log gives an alternative. Alternatives are good.

    6) Put in daily quest NPCs / Levequest NPCs.

    Why this was not done from day one of the Eureka content is baffling. This place is perfect for it. Use Grand Leves to spawn NM's that you can kill yourself. There NEEDS to be SOME sort of alternative than kill x mobs, spawn X moster.

    7) Raise the ilvl sync

    There is zero reason to have the level sync at 300 (other than artificial difficulty) when the gear rewarded is 355 / 380+. If you have to, make so that the gear rewarded from Eureka bypasses the ilvl sync. I also think this should have been in from the start. It would actually Encourage you to play the content for a reason other than relic.

    8) Remove Death penalty when you've reached max level for a zone

    Make it a reward for finishing the area. There's a reason games went away with exp penalties on death . . . THEY"RE NOT FUN. And remember, In SE's OWN words, "If it's not fun, you're doing it wrong".

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

    I agree with a lot of that, Levequests in particular I feel would be a far better idea to use than FATEs for the NMs... Perhaps have a system where the regular mobs can drop an item that you can return to the camp to exchange for a Levequest, with the Levequest being balanced around your party (or lack of). This would make soloing the entire Relic possible of course, which one might gawk at, but keep in mind that if you group up you'd be able to gain the Levequests faster, and obtain more rewards since your entire group would be activating their own; Think of it like Treasure Maps, if you do your own you get 1 every 18 hours, if you go with a group of say 4, you'll do 4 maps instead. Apply that kind of logic to Levequest based NMs in Eureka and you've got a solid benefit to grouping up, you get 4 lots of rewards rather than 1.

    As for other issues, well I hope Trusts can be taken to Eureka at least, and I hope they don't prevent you grouping up... The long standing suggestion has been "Allow us to summon our Chocobos in Eureka", same thing applies for Trusts when that system comes in 5.0. This would help make the content accessible when the instances die down.

    I'd also very much like to see the Logos System retroactively put into Anemos and Pagos. I get that there are balance issues with that, but who really cares? The balance for content for ARR Relics and HW Relics are a complete shade of what they once were. Same should apply for Eureka, and the Logos System is actually, dare I say it, fun? Lock activating it behind Pyros if you must, but let us use it in the old zones and even obtain the Mnemes there too...

    HW relics required 16 hq crafts that required all 8 specialists and mats from diadem. Since then, the specialist requirement was removed, the mats can be purchased for scrips, the crafts can be nq and the crafts can be purchased for GC seals.

    The problem with the suggestions presented is they all require you to go back into Eureka. Have a daily or repeatable quest (run roulettes/dungeons) that give the crystals or let tomes/GC seals be traded for them. Don't need to mention mounts or minions because it's a given that they'll be put somewhere else.

    Resources. Anemos was delayed once or twice and on release still had insulting features like clicking through hundreds to thousands of crystals and lockboxes. They probably spent too much time getting a 144-man instance with tells and the party system to work properly.

    Atm i would rather want it to die out really fast so they can get back to work on the expansion and everything with it.

    But maybe they will include some updates to eureka with future 5.x patches. So it doesnt meet the same fate as Diadem which is a ghost town atm.

    they are most likely just going to let us unsync eureka all together both elemental lvl and real lvl so you go in as a lvl 80 badass and can be elemetal lvl 50-70 depending on the lvl we get in last eureka.

    not only that they will probably nerf all the relic requirements and make getting everything super easy, in the end making eureka super easy to solo farm.

    That's just simply not true.
    Skoll is a terrible example. I'm sure you can kill most things.

    I just killed Duke Batym with ~20 or fewer people, and it was a joke.

    Skoll is required if you want to increase your magia board.

    Try doing it with 4 or less. Because that's the situation that's going to happen after 5.0
