Lmbo you posted this like it was some scathing rebuttal and not just you missing the inherent implication of discourse over an entirely subjective thing.

Hmm... Not sure what made you think I was posting a "scathing rebuttal" to you. Just another odd opinion from the white knights. However, it is not my opinion that blue mage will be locked out from a majority of content upon its launch. It is also not my opinion that it will be locked from duty finder. And again it is not my opinion that because of these things being a blue mage main will be impossible. I wish they were just opinions, but sadly they are not. SE took a job that many people were hyped for and reduced it into a lazy mini-game.

BLU is going to be very, very boring for the most part. You start out with no abilities, so you'll whack boring lvl 1 trash mobs with your cane until Atma blesses you and you get your first ability. Then you'll spam that on the next boring trash mob to get the next ability and so forth - the overworld doesn't have much else but boring trash mobs after all. Eventually, you reach 50. At that point, you unsync a couple of duties with a friend to complete your skill collection and enter the carnivale.

How the carnivale is going to turn out, who knows? But seeing as they go with the whole elemental resistance angle, I imagine that it's going to be just another pattern learning content where you either have the right abilities and steamroll through it, or you don't, fail and get sent back to collect the right ability. At least, unlike Pomanders, it likely won't be up to RNG.

The only people I can see hyped for the experience will be people who enjoyed wasting trash mobs for hours on end in Eureka. Or people who simply haven't been in this game long enough to know how side content tends to turn out.

You're right, these are facts. However, the moment you take position to say if you like the whole package or not, it becomes opinion. And that opinion is no more valuable than any other.

Then you have those 1000 joining the others that have are saying to "avoid this game like the plague". So that 100k players it might bring back will be diminished by not only the 1000 that left but those that they convince not to return or even give the game a chance. They should have announced they would be working on a version of blu for the full game that wouldn't be ready for some time alongside what they announced during this Fan Fest.

Maybe, maybe not. We will see what happens. One things for sure though comments of "avoid this game like the plague because overall the game play experience is dull and offers really nothing different due to the games set style" can offer more weight and impact to others on the fence on staying away. While comments like "Avoid this game like the plague because they butchered my favorite job of all time by making it different then the normal" tend to usually get ignored when a lot are happy with it and might make even more curious about trying it out.

I would rather BLU be a regular job since it's one of my favorites in the series, but again I'm okay with at least playing it first to see how it is. Either way I'm way more hype for the potential jobs we'll get in shadowbrigner, more than anything else. Febuary can't come quick enough.

So, you were able to find a piece of anecdotal side-content that you think is bad, but is also completly unrelated to BLU... and that means what exactly? What are you saying here?

I hope you are not trying to imply that because Ixion is bad, BLU will be, or something akin to that, because it'd be one of the easiest argument ever to completly crush by simply finding one piece of good content to be able to argue the exact opposite. And from someone who has been flaming others over their lack of "debate skills", that'd be quite embarassing. So you might want to clarify what you were trying to say with that argument there.

Ixion is not a "minigame" btw. It's just a FATE.
