Despite BLU being the introductory context, this thread is not about BLU.
I will admit, it absolutely is a jab at that part of the reasoning for not adding them in as a proper job. But it's not from that direction. "Oh, you agree that a job not having all needed skills is a problem? Well sit down Squenix, because do I have news for you!".
SE, through BLU, admitted such cases are problematic. As such, I'm asking them to address those difficulties outside of BLU.

I agree with your first 3 points as job quests can be finished easily enough, not so much with point no 4, good gear isn't all that easy to come by when leveling, you have to hope you get a good drop from a dungeon.

BS. On-level white gear is available through all levels from vendors. If you have better dungeon gear, that's fine, but there's no excuse to be 50-100 ilvls behind at any level.

In ARR, maybe. But that is also slightly where it doesn't matter as much. In HW and SB you get HQ gear pieces from the MSQ and similar-level sidequests, which should nicely take care of your main the first time you run through it. Barring that, you have NQ versions of those gear sets available through vendors.
On-level gear is readily available at all stages of the game post ARR.
