The bump nobody asked for! Because healers shouldn't be allowed to use non-healer accessories into Ultima-ex!

Minorly necroing this because this is still relevant.

For how tutorialish and basic, plain repetitive and handheld the early game player experience is. The amount of new players that skip over crucial learning processes about game mechanics, class mechanics and combat mechanics never cease to amaze me.
Then again, we live on a world where people quote books it has never read. Maybe why most players won't even bother to read.
I play with a Chilean friend, since spanish is not an option in this game (thank you for leaving out the 3rd most popular language of the world SE) he has tons of issues learning the game, i've tried to teach him along my partner the best we can, but seriously, the game has so much info that is not reaching players, be it cause they won't bother to read or they just cannot read it.
"The will of my friends has etched into my heart, and now ill transform this infinite darkness into eternal light
Unmatched in heaven and earth, one body and one soul that challenge the gods!"

Considering that the class imbalance such as it exists in this game is usually to the tune of about 5% with a margin of error and yet the community regards jobs as complete trash and will block/kick from pf's, they aren't wrong.
I support OP's recommendations, with my only concern being a draconian ilvl requirement being a problem for new players. But I suppose in the end I would rather have a draconian ilvl requirement more than none at all (but still a reasonable one would be optimal).
All of these are good suggestions. I hope they're added to the game in 5.0. Adding these sorts of restrictions would, quite literally, do nothing but benefit everyone in the game.

While this is all logical and probably should be a thing, I hate to tell you that they probably don't really care all that much. All of the reasons they gave for why they made blue mage a limited job have been debunked by themselves or others. Yoshi p was really just spitting out whatever reason sounded like it might be plausible. And if they ever did implement a fix for toxicity it would likely be to the tune of the pvp fixes where they go way overboard such as blocking all chat making actual detailed strategy during a match impossible unless you are on discord. The best cure for toxicity is to simply have patience. As a dps I don't tend to ditch dungeons because it takes a while to get through the wait. If someone is being toxic I wait out the 15 mins then tell them why they are making the dungeon/raid impossible then vote kick them. The only time that doesn't solve the problem is when they are with their girlfriend/boyfriend who blocks the vote kick or a party of similar minded friends, which does not happen that often. If they get really toxic you can report them for that.
I'm bumping this again because every BLU thread only makes me cry harder.
